Final

Favorite New tech we discussed is Houseparty. I love this new app it has a lot of awesome features and abilities. It is a lot like facetime but added in features like the apples to apples game which I thought was such a genuis idea. I love this new tech it has allowed me to connect with my friends and keep up with the culture of our hockey team.

My least favorite tech we discussed in class is TikTok. TikTok is really annoying to me and I don’t see the entertainment in it. I think it is a lot of people desperately trying to become famous by making weird videos.

FlickrSudoku- pretty cool concept. Sudoku is one of my favorite games to play on my computer or on my phone. This mashup substitutes regular boring numbers out for cool number photos from Flickr. I thought it was cool and a good idea. It would be fun for people who like both Flickr photos and the game Sudoku

Phone apps

My top three phone apps I use are instagram, twitter, and snapchat. I would say I use these applications every single day. I use them because it is how I stay connected with my friends and allow my friends to stay updated on what I am doing. I also use them because they inform me about news and sports. They have definitely changed my life in the sense I can keep in touch with my high school and college friends that live all around the world. Before I had these apps I watched TV more to find about news and just texted my friends. No I couldn't see myself stop using these apps unless I was being stalked or harassed online.

Favorite Twitter tool

Tweetdeck is my favorite Twitter tool as it organizes your tweets for you in a more understandable way. This is useful for a person that is famous on twitter and has lots of followers as well as companies that have a strong presence on twitter. I would recommend it to those who are twitter famous or those who use twitter a lot.

These articles were interesting to read as all these new technologies I looked at seemed to be growing and improving. I read that Vero saw an increasing amount of users and that its lack of advertisement is making it stand out from competitors like Facebook. The CovEducation article highlighted the impact MIT students were making by helping out low-income students k through 12 deal with school abruptly ending due to coronavirus. Google glass was being used mainly just for businesses and project managers.

The Next Big Thing

Smell-A-Vision

Television that releases different scents to further enhance the viewers experience. For instance, if you are watching a food show you would smell the burger that Guy Fieri is eating during his show. Another example would be for advertising where companies can market the smell of their products. The scent would come out of the bottom of the tv or even the remote as it would be closer to the tv watcher. You could turn this part of the remote off if you’d like to and if it is bothering you.

One Shade - I could see this app not succeeding because of a lack of interest. Especially with a new phone coming out every year from iphone and andriod. The developers will just incorporate their ideas if they are that successful into the next new phone ruining their business under.

My first pick is 

fastory

I think its a fascinating app that will help marketing companies grab the attention of their audience in a fun and entertaining way. Limited tech skills required allows brands to grow and market themselves. It helps you understand your audience as well. If I were to have a company I would definitely look into this app and benefit from its offerings.

something I’d like to learn more about is video sharing

I really enjoyed working on the videos and posting/sharing them on different sites. I thought it was pretty cool learning how to post to youtube. I would like to learn even more about that.
