challenge no more - chaos irl

Three girls have been eliminated. six weeks into the selection, 20 girls remain. giselle, imène, and solène live another day. raquel is now 21. giselle and shiv met daniel and isaac. sefora met marco. imène has met daniel kind of. raul met isaac too bcs he is cool like that.

unfortunately, i think everyone can agree that life as adults is much busier. we love problems. we only have 5 weeks before school is back in session for some. everyone else has had their summer plans or unexpected events/work take up time. we don't think there's much we can do for out pace anymore, especially since sometimes when some of us free up, someone else gets busy.

we don't want to abandon the oc :( even if realistically it's not going to go the way we want. so the best compromise we could come up with was giving you all the same timeline to go off of. this was technically the basic timeline we were going to go off by with the challenges if we had stuck to all the challenges lasting three weeks--but as you may remember, from the very first challenge that wasn't possible with people's schedules.

with this general timeline everyone can keep rping with their partner at whatever pace they need :) No challenge date restrictions. faster or slower. Or if y'all run out of steam and want to stop, that's also something you can agree with your partner. no problem.

posting will no longer be expected, though u can share if you'd like! also, if you have questions, u can text either/both of us. also also, if you want to rp with daniel/isaac/marco/raquel before august 18th for any plot reasons or ideas, let us know uwu.

we can coordinate in the gc if we want to talk every so often about what we've been up to on our side of things.

challenge two - the siblings & sibling adjacent

14 girls have been eliminated. 10 gone after interviews. 4 more after first dates + random interactions. now three weeks into the selection, 21 girls remain. giselle, imène, and solène make the cut.

selection week 4 rolls around, and raquel is turning 21. an important birthday does not mean a ball, but raquel does know how to entertain herself. here is how this challenge will go...

1. séfora and shiv

unsurprisingly, raquel has convinced her brothers of doing something neither of them wanted to do. isaac, of course, is wholeheartedly on board with the idea. the idea is most definitely not a good one, but it will be entertaining for the bday girl at least. your OCs will get pulled into danisaarco's shenanigans for this. we will coordinate with you the details. sneak peek: unrelated to raquel's bday, important people are in the palace for a meeting with the queen. raquel has prepared a scavenger hunt for danisaarco to complete while this meeting is happening. sneaking into rooms they shouldn't will be involved.

2. giselle, imène, and solène

raquel's bday has reminded marco that his siblings are some of the most important, opinionated people in his life. it would be good for them to interact with the selected past being in the same room. this challenge you will have to pick one of the two siblings to rp with. if ester somehow gets really big brain, we could finagle both royal siblings into the interaction, but the requirement will be at least one. raquel or daniel. whoever it is, we can dm to figure out why the encounter happens. as "accidental" as it will be, we are sure those two rarely leave things to chance. the rps don't have to be long, but hopefully this will be interesting. perhaps something your OCs can later bring up with their love interests.

3. yousef, javi, and raúl

u are there to look hot, but if you want, feel free to dm and coordinate any rp u would like with raquel, daniel, or isaac for funsies.

REMINDER: this challenge is still three weeks in OC world. includes the last week of may + first two weeks of june.

you can have side rps with people/romantic interests/royals as needed. the challenge is just something you will want to coordinate into those three weeks of OC time. you have two weeks to rp and post the shenanigans, be it on tumblr or via link on chats. I SEE NOT EVERYONE POSTED LAST CHALLENGE, WHICH IS FINE, BUT WE ALSO WANNA SEE WHAT YALL GOT GOING EVENTUALLY. (1st challenge time has been a bit rough for us, so we won't complain about y'all yet).

challenge one - the beginning

well... WE BACK. welcome to oc9 and to our first official challenge of this Selection. couples have been announced and I'm sure everyone is excited to get going. to recap, these are the couples that we will be watching as they unfold:

we'll be keeping things simple this challenge. your only requirement is to rp your couple's first encounter. dependent on their occupation/selected status it may differ, but it is up to you. ester has given you some splendid ideas for how you might start. feel free to refer back to the compatibility pairing cards if you'd like to go in that direction.

we are also opening up rps with several of our own characters. the queen and prince regent are currently unavailable, however if you'd like to rp with daniel, marco, raquel, or isaac, dm us. you have two weeks to rp with your partner and post it to either tumblr or via link on chats. this challenge's deadline will be on tuesday, may 23rd at 10:00 PM (PST).
