Meanwhile Haymitch is so genuinely in love with Lenore Dove and sees the true beauty in her and her songs and traditions, he embraces her adoration for music and poetry and nature and goes to great lengths for her, to ensure that she is happy. Snow deserves much worse than ever came to him and Haymitch didn't deserve any of the pain that was inflicted upon him.
