☆ Gumi is the mascot character associated with the voice bank Megpoid! The name 'Megpoid' originates from 'Megumi-like Vocaloid' in relation to the name of the voice provider Megumi Nakajima, and the name 'Gumi' from the aforementioned's childhood nickname.
• People often confuse the software name and mascot name and refer to her as 'Megpoid Gumi' or 'Gumi Megpoid', but these are two separate names, one for the software and the other for the character.

☆ She was originally released in June 2009, making me technically a year and 3 months older than her!
• Additionally, her A.I.VOICE voicebank was released in September 2022, and her SynthV voicebank in December 2023. She was the first Vocaloid to have an AI voicebank!
☆ Out of every vocaloid, Gumi has the most voice banks (around 18).

☆ Her character item is a carrot!
☆ Her base language is Japanese, but soon after release, she was given an English voicebank as well.
• Her newer release as an AI voicebank allows for use of the "multilingual" function without needing dedicated voicebanks.

☆ Her design is based on the character Ranka Lee, who had Megumi Nakajima as her seiyuu/voice actor! This character is most known for the song Seikan Hiko.
