MEDIA CONVENTIONS: A CONTRACT BETWEEN PRODUCERS AND CONSUMERS
Producers seem to have all the power, as content comes from them. But in truth, they can only make content that they know the consumers will like. Otherwise no one would subscribe to their content. That is the unspoken understanding between producers and consumers.

FORM AND CONTENT ARE INSEPARABLE
In art and art criticism, form and content are considered distinct aspects of a work. The term form refers to the work's style, technique and media used, and how the elements of design are implemented. Content, on the other hand, refers to a work's essence or what is being depicted.

TECHNOLOGY EVOLVES, BUT SOME THINGS REMAIN THE SAME
ENTRY 1: INSIGHT ON MEDIA MEANS Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other digital platforms are becoming the most popular media means in the 21st century. Whereas before, the traditional three — TV, radio and print media (newspapers and magazines) — were the sole and dominant means. Either way, they still all play a part today, digital and traditional media means alike. But what makes digital media means better is that through it, people are immersed. We are not merely consumers of information, we are contributors too. Everybody has a voice. Still, I believe that along with digital media, traditional media will, for many years to come, be the dominant platforms for people consuming information, educational, political, and cultural alike. We should see them as working together instead of against each other. One strengthens and helps verify the other. ENTRY 2: Insight on People as Media From the time of the Ancient Greeks until today, people have always been forms of media. We are the source of messages, and we are the means by which messages are disseminated to others. Surely, modern-day times have been reliant on technology such as the printing press, radio waves, TV sets and internet connection to help us publish information for mass consumption. But still, there’s always a newscaster, a news writer or an article writer whom the news originates from. People have been and always will be the primary means of conveying information. “Word of mouth” is even a marketing strategy in which instead of through advertising, it’s consumers themselves who spread information about a product. Another term for it is “personal testimonial”, something performed either in person or via social media. While technology helps people disseminate information on a grander scale, technology remains to be nothing but a form of assistance. People are the true means by which any information is transferred from one person to another. This was true in the ancient times, and this is true today.
