Well this is it! My very last shift with a wonderful airline! I just want to say thank you for the big opportunity Air Transat has given me and all the experience I have gained in these 3 months. So grateful to have this opportunity in my life! This was my last shit and as usual, we had this big rush around 9 because a flight was delayed and obviously all passengers got notified and arrived way later to the airport, so right after I came from my break, around 9:15, I see A LOT of people standing in the kiosk!!!, it was crazy, and i realized people came later to the airport because it is usually dead by that time, and also kiosks were not printing the bag tags, which was one of the biggest problems passengers had! Other than that, it was such a great shift!
THANKS AIR TRANSAT

This has been a crazy week, hot summers, with so many flights in the afternoon, I have been a little bit tired since you got to be standing for almost 8 hours but the experience has been very nice since as I said before you deal with something different in every shift, which is something that is fun, since you do not know really what are you gonna deal with in the shift, these opportunity is coming to an end and I couldn't be more happy and grateful for this, because I have learned a lot through this position and I know in the future I will have all these tips when I am in a real job!

Moving on with his activity, makes me a little bit sad that our co-op is almost done and this incredible experience with Air Transat has been such a challenge to deal with but a great opportunity to learn! Almost finishing with my co-op at Air Transat, just wanted to say thanks for all the support they have gave us and always being helpful when we as students did not know what to say or do. I am almost done and so are the other students, and everyday even though we have same flights but there is always different people to deal with and help too. It is actually very fun because since it is very different day, with the different people there will always be a different problem, or solution which I try my best to collect all good information and knowledge!!
Lets keep going !!

Hi, and im back on a new blog this week, this week is almost done and here we are, going one more day to the airport and do what i best can to help out passengers, so this week going to the airport I was happy because i realized they changed the old kiosks to the new ones!!! Which it was kind of annoying because the old ones (most of them) did not work at all… so this week when i was headed to the airport and saw we were using them I got exited cause they look brand new, they are faster and are made in a way everyone can understand ! 🤩, here’s proof of what I am talking about! We still have some old omes, but airport is kind of improving !

This whole adventure has been beautiful going to work once or twice a week, this has been a beautiful experience when you get to interact with a lot of people from different countries all over the world, and it really warms my heart when I can also speak my own language (spanish) that literally some people speak my language and having the ability to do so, makes me happy, this blog is just for expressing how thankful I am to be part of Air Transat!

Hello, and this is another blog with Mariana working at Air Transat! I got to say that I loved working and going to the gate, I had a really nice experience going to the aircraft and have the opportunity to go twice to the gate and do shadowing with my coworkers! You learn a lot in a day and it is a very amazing experience because you do things you never thought you will do! Like getting into the aircraft, saying hi to the pilots and flight attendants and actually waiting till the pushback is starting. The RAIC helps out a lot because it gives you like this priority to "skip" lines and go directly to the gate you're assigned to, which I really love and enjoy! I also for the first time I did shadowings at the counters and it was great, even though it seemed confusing at the beginning, you'll probably get to work with the system amadeus perfectly.

Hello team Air Transat!, yesterday was one more shift at Toronto Pearson but it was kind of different and exciting since I got my RAIC!!!! Yay!!! it was actually a very running on time thing to do because my appointment was at 1:00 PM and they recommend to be there 15 minutes before your actual appointment time with all of your documents you submitted! Well I didn't know I had to print my form that was signed by Selena and left at Judith's office, so I had my mind somewhere else because I got there to the appointment with no printed and signed form!!!!!! But fortunately people at the RAIC office where so kind that they told me to go the Air Transat Office and get it printed and signed and come back and we will deal with everything else! I literally ran to Terminal 3, because all of that is in Terminal 1, took the train, met Judith at the office, I told her my situation and told her that my shift starts at 3:30 pm but I was running a little bit late due to my RAIC... she was super kind and told me not to worry about it and get things done even if I get late to my shift it would be fine! That's how it went, I went back to Terminal 1, they helped me out quickly, did a mini test of 5 questions, got my picture taken and in less than 5 minutes I had my RAIC on my hands!!! SOOO EXCITED! I ran back to Terminal 3 to my shift, unfortunately i was only late like 30 minutes but it was not a big deal.... Below is me with my RAIC and ready to start my shift at 4:00 pm with all the energy and love.

Hello! Here we go again with my third shift at Air Transat at Pearson. It is getting very fun when it comes to helping people!, in fact, today was a good day, I got a chocolate from a supervisor which made my night! It was honestly a very fun day because I was by myself guiding all passengers to their flights and kiosks, so I had a shift of talking and talking to them, at first was a little bit tough until I got some help and they told me how to do it properly, I just need that little authority to tell passengers what to do and where to go, in fact, they were all very grateful with my help and that fulfills my heart!
For tonight's flights we had only one bag restriction which was Paris, passengers were only allow to check in one bag per passenger, but it seems that tonight they were all following the rules and just got one bag per passenger! I can't wait to get my RAIC and see what more cool things I can do at the airport and help contribute to the Airline!

This is another episode of Mariana going to her career placement at Pearson Airport! I've had now 2 amazing shifts at Air Transat, not gonna lie, you actually get into it with the days there. It is like you already know what you are doing and feel very comfortable about it. Yesterday was my second shift and I have to tell you that I felt very international! I had to speak in 3 languages!! INSANE! English obviously, it is the main and only language we speak mostly at the airport, after a while a passenger came to me with an agent and the agent told me he didn't speak ANY English, so I helped this guy out with my spanish skills, (I'm spanish, it was sooo easy to deal with it) he was really kind and seemed very confused with everything, but helping him out fills my heart completely. Like I was the only spanish speaker at that moment, I am so glad he matched my shift with his flight in order to help him. Some hours later guess what?? A lady that only spoke french came to me for help, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm not fluent in french and I'm not the best at it, but I try my best. So she had no clue about the kiosk and she was speaking to me in french, and I said in french "I speak a little bit of french" her facial expressions changed completely, so I helped her with some numbers, signs, and guiding her with my hand, trying my best obviously, what at the end she was so pleased and that warms my heart!
I really hope I can keep helping a lot of people at the airport, specially with Air Transat! #loveAirTransat #TeamAirTransat !

Here we go! This is my first blog and this is all about my career placement with Air Transat, wow! What a wonderful experience I'm currently having.
So I've just had 2 shifts with Air Transat, one was orientation and just yesterday the 13th I had my official first day, and what a nice experience I had. The team is actually very kind and helpful, had so many questions and with no doubt they were answered nicely! I was firstly headed to the Kiosks and help passengers with their check-ins and bag tags! I stayed there for a couple of hours and then I got sent to the main entrance where people go and do the lines to the counters! There, we had a different dynamic, we had to guide passengers either to the kiosk, baggage drop off or special agents at counters!
For being my first day it was exciting meeting the team and having to speak to bunch of people and actually being helpful with them whenever they asked questions, you fill released whenever they say thank you for your help!
