Psst! Want to know a secret?🙃 Do you also want to get such bright colors on the board? In my experience, just coloring the resin with blue and pouring it onto the board is not enough. In that case blue colors will lose some brightness. How I do it - I first paint the board white in 2 layers, then cover with a bright color, and just then pour the resin. Of course, I have always loved my resin waves, but now this is exactly what I was striving for. Sometimes in pop-up markets people ask me - "Is this a photo of the ocean that is covered with something?". And how proud I am to answer - "No, every wave is made by hand!". Why October? Because it is in October that the Fantasy Festival will take place! 🥳 The 2021 Annual Fantasy Fest is a 10-day celebration. This iconic event started simply as a way to draw attention to the tiny island in the middle of October when tourism was notoriously slow. What started as a small parade grew into a massive event drawing nearly 75,000 people to Key West (twice the population of the island❗) . Each year the theme changes, and this year it is "In Tune But Off Key." I have to cancel a few planned fairs, but the adventure is worth it! Mini - islands.. . This moss has been in my boxes for a year now, and I finally used it. 🌿 When I am buying new materials, I always spend too much time thinking about how to use them. Right now we are in another city, but upon return I will definitely make a couple of paintings. I feel like I want to make a couple of miniatures, and a couple of medium-sized paintings. Interesting Resin Facts: ✔️ Resin is very afraid of high temperatures and can deform if left in the heat. But indoors, the product will cool down and become solid again. ✔️ Resin hardens completely in 72 hours. For many brands, complete curing occurs after 7 days. ✔️ Resin is very strong and not easy to break because it is not glass. So far, I've only broken a bookmark once, but nothing else. ✔️ Resin is quite light, although it has a mirror finish and buyers often think it should be heavy as stone. ✔️ With a hardener, the resin must be mixed in strict proportions, and stirred for at least 3-5 minutes, otherwise it will not completely harden and remain soft and sticky. I heard this concern from others and that is the problem! ✔️ When actively working with resin, it is not only afraid of low temperatures, but also high ones (i once had boiling resin). 😢 Do not keep large volumes of resin and hardener for a long time. The temperature in my room is always 70 °. ✔️ Resin and water do not mix well. Namely, if it gets into the product during the pouring process. It becomes cloudy and may also remain sticky. ✔️The time of working with resin is only 30-50 minutes (when working on a larger piece, you have to break the volume of work into several parts). ✔️ The resin is toxic, but only during curing. You Need a respirator while working! It is safe when fully cured. ✔️ And the most undeniable fact: the possibilities of resin are endless. This is the most incredible and mesmerizing material with which you can embody a huge number of creative ideas! What am I working on now?🔍 I am currently working with ocean style resin for pop-up markets (as usual). 🌊 Also, I am working on several custom orders. One of them is not even related to the marine theme. That's why it's so interesting for me. It is actually closer to the geode style.✨ I need to make a tray, Lazy Susan and coasters in the same style. The main colors are gold, emerald and a touch of yellow. I have to admit, I am obsessed ☺️ with alcohol ink and have made a series of tumblers, plates and coasters with the same. I am waiting for a finishing spray to arrive so that I can coat the ink with a protective layer before resin coating. Unfortunately, the sprays I had didn't work 😒, and when I coated yhe ink with resin, it would blur the drawing. 20 reasons why I started posting less; emotional burnout🔥 ⠀ You already know the role of an art blogger includes constant production, shooting finished works and paintings, communicating with followers, building personal boundaries and etc. I want to say right away that I am not whining, and that I am once again going through training on this topic, but this time targeted for artists. Phone in hand 24/7☎️ 7. Constant monitoring of competitors 8. Searching topics for posts 9. Life as a news feed 10. Striving for the audience and lack of gratitude 11. Even in the most important moments in life, you have to look at it through your phone camera, and think about how to show it to the public.🎥 12. Selection of photos for posts, keeping a consistent theme 13. Drawing up a content plan 14. Exploring new trends 15. Targeted ads that yield no results 16. Caring for your personal brand 17. A large number of fake people 18. Lack of schedule - you always have to work 19. Interaction with the audience, it can take up to 8 hours a day 20.
