it's kinda weird thinking about how much time has passed. and weirder like.. how aware others can be bc of the internet & idk. my 25th birthday is in a few days and I just keep thinking about my first art show when I turned 21 -- lmao. i don't understand the sentiment here since I haven't really been active or put much into tumblr since losing access to @mariella-angela but bc I can't understand it shouldn't be a reason to dismiss whatever this is exactly. Saying bye??? Even tho ik no one will even read this but idk, I just need to say bye for my own peace of mind but not saying bye but like ok
I gotta step back from social media rn, well just step back in general. I've been overwhelmed for a while, just over the past year we've worked on cleaning up the mess I've made & then one by one lessening the load
the internet is weird and great and like idk, and the level of intimacy it's able to accomplish is violating - I don't think I mean that as a negative thing but just as it is
there's a diff sensation between me deleting my Instagram & deleting my tumblr, idk if it's cos one is more accessible or feels safer or is more sentimental idk. I can't get myself to delete this tumblr, even tho I wasn't really active on it / didn't really have much substance - but did feel the need to clarify I won't be coming back to it. Thank you for everything. Whatever version of Mariella Angela you knew or whatever art you may have came across and found yourself hear then now or later, thank you. But I'll end this post on a happy note though

Honestly probably some of the best work I've ever done.. and it just feels like breathing
I've been painting & doing Kanye speeches for over 5 years about how much I love oil painting and how it's saved my life and it's my passion and purpose and etc I thought I felt it all and at capacity but deadass
I was so wrong. I never would have anticipated finding what I found literally in the act of painting rappers. Never, not even after everything I've experienced bc /from it.
