Finquiver - Warrior

Loving, den builder, good fighter

Bio below:

Mentored by Nadja for less than a moon before she died in an accident, at which point Otterwish became his mentor. Nearly died in a sand pit at 23 moons. Had a small crush on Lupo, and was jealous of Sandyseed when the two became mates.

Disliked Stonefin, was ok with Mousewhisker and Breezemouse, and likes Reefpelt and Frogchirp. He was surprised to be named as a candidate for deputy after Midnightstar's death, and ultimately felt relieved when Reefpelt was chosen instead.

Finquiver harbored feelings for both Sandyseed and Lupo before the two became mates, and struggled to get over them. However, he also had begrudging feelings for his longtime rival, Heavyfoot. They became closer after going on herb collecting patrols together, and when Heavyfoot proposed that they become mates Finquiver couldn't help but accept.

Finquiver was happy to have their kits, and they ended up having three litters together. Although he wasn't close with all of his children, he still adored Heavyfoot and grieved the losses of Darksky, Quietclaw, Robincall, and Wildeagle.

As he got older, he looked back on a satisfying life in which the had been only brief periods of sadness. He had lost his parents, most of his siblings, and several of his own children. He may have also lost the opportunity to become deputy, but everything else was bright. There was always love and laughter to look forward to. There was always a clan that needed him in new ways. 

Finquiver was called to Starclan peacefully in his sleep, where he was happy to be reunited with his loved ones. He looks forward to greeting his mate when his time comes one day.

Mousewhisker - Warrior

Fierce, great kitsitter, good mediator

Bio below:

Disappeared for a few days after being taken by twolegs, but was able to return to the clan. He was a fierce warrior who could reliably intimidate even large dogs. His large size and full coat definitely helped with this, and he was a consistent source of support for his sister Breezemouse. He regrets dying with his first apprentice, and hoped that his sister would be able to find a new support system.

Breezemouse - Warrior

Lonesome, talented swimmer, good kitsitter

Bio below:

Sole survivor of a rogue ambush that killed Lakota, Tawnyshade, and Condorchest. Felt isolated after the death of her brother, Mousewhisker, who had looked out for her the most. Became depressed after Emeraldthistle, her crush, was taken by twolegs. Drowned in a flood, but is relieved to be reunited with her family in Starclan.

Adventurous, quick to make peace

Bio: Died of greencough shortly after becoming an apprentice.

Gulldapple - Warrior

Charismatic, unusually strong fighter, steady paws

Bio below:

Attacked by a seagull as a kit and nearly died in a sand pit as an apprentice. His littermate Mothpaw died shortly after becoming an apprentice, leaving him terrified of losing another cat. He felt jealous of Stonefin's close relationship with his mother, Dahliadusk, and initiated a rivalry with the older tom. Unfortunately he would soon die in a flash flood, and could only watch over his family from Starclan.

Stonefin - Warrior

Confident, trusted advisor, steady paws

Bio below:

Was never very close with his parents, but always got along well with Dahliadusk and was thrilled to have her as a stepmother. Used his status as the son of the leader to be a bit overly confident as an apprentice, even stepping in to finish Sandyseed's training after Laurelstar died despite only being a few moons past his own apprenticeship. Was accidentally named after his little brother since Laurelstar forgot that Finkit had been born, and only remembered a fondness for the name. When he finally got his first real apprentice, Frogpaw, he complained a lot and didn't seem to enjoy it. He grew to like Finquiver more in comparison to his half siblings, even after Gulldapple's death. Not having a clear direction besides avoiding his family, he became very attached to Midnightstar, who he recognized as also being a solitary cat. He found himself becoming attracted to Leaptoe after seeing her stumble on a patrol and, to his surprise, finding it endearing. He knew that the older shecat was popular, but he finally began to understand why as he hestitantly started reaching out to her. He slowly fell in love with her as he got to know her better but didn't believe he was good enough for her. But after seeing Finquiver and Heavyfoot finally get together, he gathered all of his confidence to confess his feelings to her. He was thrilled when she agreed to be his mate. Although they hadn't been intentionally trying to have kits, Stonefin was excited when Leaptoe became pregnant. He was a little nervous about his parenting skills, but after being surrounded by Sandyseed's kits for so long, and now Finquiver's as well, he felt more able to trust his community in helping him. Stonefin became close with several of the clan's medicine cats after becoming a regular volunteer on their herb gathering patrols. He finds comfort in their stories about Starclan, and finds meaning in imagining his life through the eyes of his ancestors. Stonefin was consistently jealous of Frogchirp throughout his life, and their relationship was often mediated by Swamppath. He envied her relatively peaceful life and the fact that she didn't remember many of his hardships. He knew deep down that this wasn't her fault, but she still often ended up on the receiving end of his frustration anyway. Although Stonefin had been satisfied with his first litter of kits, Pearlpool's death was difficult for both himself and Leaptoe. When she asked him if he'd want to try to have another litter, he agreed with great heaviness in his heart. He'd seen how easy it was to lose siblings, and he hoped that having more kits would make them better able to support each other even after he was gone. Unfortunately, when the pregnancy and birth proved too much for Leaptoe's tired body she joined Starclan as well. He resolved to protect his newborn kits as best he could with the time he had left. He never did get very close with his children, but dying peacefully in his sleep was a kind reward for his years of service to the clan.

Dahliadusk - Warrior

Ambitious, fishlike swimmer

Bio below:

Had a crush on Otterwhistle for a long time, admiring her dignified yet warm personality. Was surprised by Wolverinesand's proposal, as they'd only had a brief flirtation when Wolverinesand had first joined the clan, but was happy to become her mate. Loves her stepson Stonefin as much as her own kits.

Went on to have several litters with Wolverinesand until her mate's death. She continuously rejected Chiakiminnow's advances, even after deciding to move on, with the intention of reaching out to Otterwhistle, who she still had feelings for. She died while sick alongside Otterwhistle, and the two were finally able to become mates in Starclan, where Dahliadusk also rejoined Wolverinesand as her mate.

Wolverinesand - Warrior

Nervous, skilled mediator, great speaker

Bio below:

Had a rough start in the clan, as she was still being contacted by her previous rogue group members. She had an initial attraction to Dahliadusk, but nothing happened between them. Instead she found herself growing closer to Laurelstar. 

She was a bit put off as she learned about his romantic history, and briefly tried to reach out to Dahliadusk and Diona as potential mates. When she didn't feel the same level of affection for them, she approached Laurelstar again and was relieved when he accepted her as his mate. However, when she realized that he was mostly just feeling desperate at the time she refused to have kits with him. It took her a long time to actually start to fall in love with him.

When she finally had their first son, Stonekit, she was terrified of being a parent, and avoided becoming close to him. By the time Finkit was born she mostly passed off responsibility to Laurelstar whenever she could. To make matters worse, she still felt attracted to Dahliadusk and had a brief flirtation with Otterwhistle to try to distract herself.

Realizing that she couldn't carry on living like this, she asked her children how they would feel if she and their father weren't together anymore. They barely even noticed that the two were mates in the first place, so Wolverinesand approached Laurelstar and told him about her lingering feelings for Dahliadusk. To her surprise, he completely understood. He suggested that she tell Dahliadusk how she felt, so she did so right away in her excitement. Dahliadusk reciprocated her feelings, and with her family's blessings she finally was able to make Dahliadusk her mate.

Wolverinesand went on to have many kits with her new mate, and became very attached to her growing family. She was able to grow old surrounded by loving clanmates and eventually joined Starclan after eating tainted prey.

Laurelstar - Leader 1

Loving, valuable insight, good mediator

Bio below:

“No cat can ever know how much I struggled to mold myself into a respectable leader. Losing Spiderhaze so early on was a tragedy, and every subsequent death strengthened my resolve to protect my clan better the next time. We have grown into a fine clan thanks to the efforts of all of my clanmates. I admit to keeping them all at a distance at first, as I did not feel strong enough to let them see who I was at the time. I was naive, inexperienced, and desperate to save everyone. But now I am happy to say that I will walk among them forever in Starclan, and watch over every cat who graces Marineclan's shores.”

Despite having feelings for both Scratchspeckle and Midnightprance, he decided to make Feathercoast, a shecat from a different clan, his mate. He wanted to show the clan that they had a future after losing Waterleopard and his apprentice, Rimepaw. Feathercoast was ready to be a mother, so he trusted her to bring life to the clan. When she died suddenly while pregnant, he threw himself into defending his clanmates as best he could.

Scratchspeckle is his best friend, and his former deputy. He knew he needed Scratchspeckle in his life, so even when Scratchspeckle confessed his feelings after he'd decided to move on from Feathercoast's death, he couldn't bring himself to accept them. He was afraid of losing another mate and kits, and didn't feel like he had room in his life to face those fears. His job was to keep everyone safe first and foremost. 

After Scratchspeckle's death, Laurelstar became more eager to interact with kits in the camp. He didn't know what to do with himself, so when Wolverinesand confessed her feelings to him he accepted her as his mate without much hesitation. He was desperate for a family of his own.

However, his old feelings for Midnightprance still came back stronger than ever. He wanted to fill the void Scratchspeckle and Feathercoast had each left in his heart, and he didn't seem able to stop himself from becoming attached to anyone who offered him support.

After arguing about kits with Wolverinesand, Laurelstar feared that he might never have kits of his own. In his sadness, he bestowed his own name onto Flightlaurel and began to look out for him as if he were his own son.

But soon after this he would have his own son, Stonekit, and later would welcome Finkit as well. Motivated by Stonepaw's training, he decided to take on Sandypaw as his own apprentice. His first one since Rimepaw's death so many moons ago.

His mind had already been addled by the stress of his lifetime of leadership, but it became bad enough that he forgot he'd already had a kit named Finkit. Only remembering his fondness for the name, he gave his first son the warrior name Stonefin.

When Wolverinesand told him about her feelings for Dahliadusk, Laurelstar saw himself in her torn affections and loyalties. He encouraged her to act on them before it was too late, and happily shared his mate with another cat. In the end, Laurelstar gave his life saving Wolverinesand just as he'd valiantly done for so many other cats throughout his life.
