your name lingers

like a ghost in my chest

soft, painful,

impossible to let go.

we never said what we needed,

but i carry it anyway

the weight of us

in every quiet moment.

here’s a poem i wrote called rotting fruit kinda in the perspective of shauna :)

Love was ripe

sweet in the sun,

but envy came like shade

and slowly,

one by one,

the petals curled.

I wanted what you had,

even when it was mine.

I counted your smiles

like debts,

resented your shine.

We could’ve bloomed,

but I let the weeds grow

green vines of wanting

that strangled the glow.

Now all that’s left

is something bitter,

something still,

a love once tender,

rotted by will.

i kinda wanna make more :P
