with all the stuff with cults going around, I just want to say that I had a brush with a small one in 2019. I'm not naming names because the folks involved are probably still here on tumblr. I managed to avoid getting sucked in because some people I knew and trusted were involved in it, and they warned me before thankfully getting out themselves. even though I was spared any abuse, having come so close has left me with some pretty serious trust issues, and I'm just generally still feeling fucked up about it.
