My favourite street artist in Havana, Yulier P.  His work can be seen on many of the buildings and walls throughout the old city. If you wander and explore you are bound to run across his art. The feeling his work evokes is friendly and human, even though the figures are at times abstract or animalistic. Politically, the Cuban government doesn’t like his work, but he has a fairly well-established and respected following by people around the world.

The massive cathedral square was steps from my second AirBnB in Havana. Couldn't have asked for a better location! La Catedral de la Virgen María de la Concepción Inmaculada de La Habana - a beautiful building in an atmospheric square.

Taller Experimental Grafica, an artist-run co-op supported by the people and the government sponsored. Lots of hidden political commentary, often involving people as cattle, and death symbolism. So many amazing artists here and so much talent!

The streets of Havana are punctuated by songbirds in cages, adding their tune to the abundance of sounds and music in every direction.

Building contrasts where ones that have been remodeled share space with those that show their age with grace.

Along the Malecon were incredible buildings that had been battered by the hurricanes, yet still standing and awaiting repair.

Along the Malecon, a massive seawall that runs along the length on much of Havana, I found this derelict stadium of some sort. There were police around the corner that didn't allow for photography. The government wants to portray a tidier, maintained Cuba, and don't like visitors photographing what they deem to be ruins. I found them incredibly beautiful!
