Lukey saying he'd ask Pangi to kill him again like he did the other day without fear because "without spoiling I wanna say I have faith in mine and Pangi's alliance"

Fun pangkey ooc meta from Lukey on stream rn, basically saying it was all just a bunch of bits going crazy and getting out of control and eventually getting accepted by the ccs
Also, Lukey wants a pangkey wedding to be a serious actual affair, he’s fully planning on a “take me out to dinner first” if Pangi asks. He understands the gravity of the characters’ relationships and wants it to be treated with respect like beyond the bit
This is the first time Lukey has gone with a yaoi bit past just jokes, so he’s kinda just rolling with it. He didn’t expect it to be a substantial part of his character, but he’s more or less chilling with it now. He wants to do it respectfully without making his character’s sexuality a joke

do you think it feels weird for pangi and aimsey to touch now that they're both cured? do you think it feels like something is missing now that it doesn't hurt? do you think part of them found comfort in the pain before? some kind of hope that if the sculk and corruption are opposite enough to hurt, they're opposite enough for the cure? do you think they held each other's hands tighter the worse it got to try to hold back the infections for longer?
do you think they're scared they're not even touching when it doesn't hurt? do you think the pain is so ingrained in them that they feel empty without it?

oomf brought this up to me but trpangi acknowledging today that the "honey i'm home" thing was a Very Intentional conscious thought about thing that he had thought about for some time is really making me normal. very normal. trpangi making his way back home to the lab from the ball bloodstained and beaten up and buzzing with adrenaline and about 20 people want him dead in that moment but all he can think about is what he's going to say to trlukey when he walks through the door

Just had a vision of Pangkey being in the lab bickering as they do and in the usual fashion Pangi threatens to kill Lukey and Lukey goes "yeah kill me" . So Pangi uses the teleport stick and as Lukey teleports to him, Pangi just gently places the blade of a weapon at his throat going "oh yeah?"

It’s so funny how people forget what certain dog breeds were bred for. A dachshund named Valerie has been marooned on a remote part of Kangaroo Island since she ran away from a campsite in 2023 and everyone in the comments was like “that is the last dog breed I would expect to survive on its own for 500 days”. Hmm. I don’t know if it’s just me and I’ve met absolute freak dachshunds my entire life but they’re tenacious little motherfuckers with an incredible prey drive. I’m more worried about the critically endangered endemic Kangaroo Island dunnart population than I am Valerie. No large predators, several species of small mammal, temperatures consistently between 55° and 75°? She’s the queen of the island now. All small marsupials quake at the sound of her footsteps.

i js think like. when lukey said to pangi ‘never put me through that again!’ it can sound a bit careless. to anyone who doesn't know them enough, it sounds like lukey is being careless with his words to someone who just recovered from the corruption and all it's issues it came with. but in actuality it's anything but. the fact that lukey said it not to anyone, but to pangi, already says it was not careless at all.
because lukey put himself through the horrors, desperately seeking for a forgotten past where the cure may or may not be, the only path forward foggy and uncertain. he put up with so much grief, so much frustration as he watched pangi resign day after day, and then consequently lose his self along with his memories, because memories make you, you. right?
sleep deprived nights holed up in a lab, working tirelessly for a cure with no precedents. with no other available test subject other than pangi himself. night after night, working next to a tube where pangi is submerged in, a constant reminder that time is running out. day after day where he simultaneously recognizes and doesn't recognize the pangi in front of him. because it's him, but this pangi is distrusting. this pangi sometimes looks at him with a conflicted urge to kill and a pipe bomb in his hand. he stops taking off his helmet, because this pangi doesn't know lukey and his tendency to go around and die in stupid ways. hasn't experienced accidentally killing lukey with a dumb miscalculation.
so when pangi remembers, lukey lets it all out. the pent up frustration, and he doesn't have to hold on to that baggage alone anymore. pangi is back, the person he can always rely on is back. so lukey lays it all out: his grief and his relief, his frustrations that were mixed with affection and worry, and so much love. pangi is lukey’s safe haven, someone he can trust his life with. naturally so, he can entrust his grievances with pangi as well.
that's why little moments and details like this are so much more sincere than a ceremony done for the bit. marriage is just a formality when they are devoted to each other, and they both know in their hearts that they will stay in the highs, and the lowest of lows. because these feelings are true and purely them. unbound by labels, this blurs the line and allows pangi to be honest with his feelings. gives him an out, lets him hide under the guise of friendship when questioned. and that is lukey’s intention as well, i think. he knows that when presented with labels and confrontation of the nature of his feelings, pangi will run away. so he allows this to exist in between, somewhere or nowhere. it doesn't really matter because their devotion starts, and ends with them. regardless of where they are. the vows were already exchanged a long time ago. in silence and in actions, never really spoken out loud, but they both have commited to them.
for better or for worse,
for richer or poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and cherish.
they are all of these things, and they have committed to each other and upheld these vows even without a wedding.

really liked that lukey realised the egg is gone because it's been on my mind ever since the cure and i was surprised people weren't talking about it more
so the chain of events is:
aimsey, after getting cured, is running off to see ros and leaving all the cure ingredients to lukey and pangi, including the egg! which pangi gets and puts in his ender chest
then he goes to see pili to update on his state of being and! gift him the dragon egg?
as a thank you for being honest pangi decides to give pili (the harbinger of the 4th) the dragon egg (pure source of corruption) and almost goes through with it before his chat goes "hey! remember that guy that really wants you dead but you have a great amount of respect for? yeah he still needs to be cured and the egg is needed for the cure :/" to which pangi basically goes "oh forgot about that, pili i'll give it another day sorry!"
now long story short, lukey and aimsey found out the egg is not there and pangi probably has it and they will try and get it from him because it's very much needed not only to cure other people but possibly heal or destroy keepers as well and therefore lukey should have it
and so i've been thinking about how interesting it is that pangi almost gave away such a strong and crucial item without consulting aimsey or lukey, stopping only because he cares for sneeg and wants him cured and what could've been if chat didn't remind him of that? if the egg was just with pili now? if the person whose goal is to just spread the corruption got the pure source of it? very interesting

Have to say, when it said we'll be able to hatch transports from eggs I did not think Big Animal, I just assumed the egg would crack open and inside would be like. a wagon

>breaks into your house at 3am to steal your perfectly good eggs
>calls you an accomplished breeder and enlists you in its mad science experiments
>sends you to chip away at a wound it presumably made to a giant alien creature that is also technically still crucial to its employer
>creates a pig from the extracted insides of that creature
>pays you in the pig
>says you can come back anytime for more free samples
the devious happler strikes again
