Aseprite
Aseprite is a pixel-art tool to create 2D animations, sprites, and any kind of graphics for games. This is an industry standard software that is used for pixel art. From what I have used of it in my own time so far it looks like a good software to go and learn for if I want to get into this area of the gaming industry. it is also very interesting to learn a software specially designed for pixel art as this is the first time I have seen something like this as I usually just use photoshop in the past.

Basara
General Karikiri is one of the twelve Shinto lords, and is a warrior symbol of the twelve zodiac oxes (the ox carving-a guardian deity around 2 am, guarding Buddhism). The Twelve Shintos are cracking in response to the twelve petitions of Yakushi Nyorai, each defending at twelve at night, twelve months, or twelve directions. For this reason, the Zodiac will be paid out, and the twelve Shinto lords will each have their own homeland (the original form of incarnation), such as Buddha, Bodhisattva, and Myooh. The Shisui Bodhisattva says, "Because it will illuminate everything with wisdom, leave the three ways, and gain power over it, it will be called a great solstice," and three ways of fire, blood, sword, It is said that it is a bodhisattva who saves with wisdom from the suffering of the world of hesitation and fighting, draws the dead into Buddhist statues, and performs correct deeds. .

Kojo
The "Kojo" mask is worn by the actor portraying the old man in the first part of "Takasago" and in other Noh plays. The mask, embodying dignity and divinity, foreshadows the old man's appearance in the second part as a god.

Kasshiki mask
Teele Ogamo carved a Kasshiki, a mask used for roles of young temple acolyte such as in the plays Jinen-koji or Kagetsu. The bangs on the forehead represent hair that is yet to be cut before becoming a fully ordained monk.

Hashihime
TRANSLATION: lady of the bridge HABITAT: very old, very long bridges DIET: none
Hashihime are intensely jealous goddesses who inhabit bridges — in particular, very old and very long bridges. As goddesses, hashihime may take different forms depending on occasion, however they are commonly depicted wearing white robes, white face-paint, an iron trivet, and carrying five candles. This is a ceremonial outfit used to perform curses.

Karura
TRANSLATION: derived from the Hindu deity Garuda
ALTERNATE NAMES: konjichō (golden winged bird)
HABITAT: Shumisen (aka Mount Meru)
DIET: dragons
Karura are are worshiped in some branches of esoteric Buddhism. Because karura are the enemies of dragons and serpents, they are seen as a counter to things associated with these creatures. They are guardians who keep venomous snakes and dragons away. They protect against poison and disease. They are even helpful against excessive rains and typhoons. Because they are such fierce predators, they are also viewed as destroyers of sin, devouring the spiritual impurities of the faithful just as they devour dragons.

Ghost in shell
In ghost in shell there is a robot that has a mask in it that opens up when it is going to attack. The ability that it has for when it opens up I thought is quite a nice and unique ability for a mask to have. The mask also looks very good when it is both open and closed.

Kijo
The Hannya (般若) mask is a mask used in Noh theater, representing a jealous female demon. It possesses two sharp bull-like horns, metallic eyes, and a leering mouth.
thought that this would be a good mask to make because it would challenge me in the sense of making certain hair styles and with the shade of the horns and the mouth. I thought also to do a mask that is kind of black and white to see how challenging the mask would be with the colours.

Final Outcome of kitsune mask
This is what the final outcome of the kitsune mask looks like and I am a little bit happy with how it turned out because I think it did work out quite well as I did struggle quite a lot with the shading. I do think that if I do carry on with the pixel art I will be getting better and I could come back a do this again but better.

Oni
The OnI Mask acts a protective symbol for those who believe in the spiritual world. According to tattoo experts, Oni tattoos mean represents devil's ability to punish any evil or unjust act.
I thought for my first mask I’ll make my own version of a one mask sit is one of the most popular Japanese Yokia and is known as a classic Japanese demon. I thought as well that it would be good for me to start of with because I thought it would be a kind of easy mask to create as there are a lot of examples to get from the internet to reference whilst I am working.

Tengu
Tengu Mask are used for Noh stage plays and certain Shinto festivals. They're also often used as a decoration since the tengu are thought to frighten bad spirits and bring good luck. Tengu are the demi-gods who defend the wilderness
I thought that the Tengu mask would be good mask to make as it is one of the most well known masks/Yokia from Japan, so I thought that it was a good idea to see if I could create one also it would teach me how depth perception works with pixel art.

Kitsune mask
Kitsune Mask is a mask of a fox. It has meaning in religion and folk tradition. In Japanese culture, Fox has contradictory behavior. It can be benevolent (good) or malevolent (evil) depending on the situation.
I thought that the kitsune mask would be a fun mask to make as I thought it would be a good challenge to test how far I have came from the first pixel mask that I made.
