There's bound to be some capybara stuff too, though, and other cute animals may make an appearance as well.But mainly, I want a place where I can tell the world about my piggy boys; Yasushi, Mendel (R.I.P.), Pirmin (R.I.P.), and Wolke.Yasushi and Mendel were brothers, but they didn't look much alike! Yasushi (named after that famous capybara that used to live in Nagasaki Biopark) is a mostly-black shorthair and Mendel (named after the Rebbe) was a chocolate-and-white teddy. If you looked closely, though, you could spot similarities in their markings. Mendel died after a short period of illness in late 2017, but he lives on in our memories.Pirmin and Wolke were brothers too. They are nearly a year younger than Yasushi, and they don't look too much alike either! Wolke (‘cloud’ in German, because he's so fluffy) is a dark-gray-and-white Swiss teddy, a breed that I had no idea even exists before I got him. Pirmin was a regular teddy, and his fur was red/brown and white, so naturally, he had to have a Swiss name (red and white like the Swiss flag, get it?). He died after a short period of illness in the fall of 2020, but like Mendel, he lives on in our memories.The title translates to... well, it doesn't translate well. Marsu is ‘guinea pig’ in Finnish, and I’ve used it as a noun and as a verb here. “Piggies be piggin’”, maybe?
