Is it possible to edit a Bakugan wiki page? I just visited Alice’s page and ỉt turns out someone added a “mutual relationship with Lync” to her introduction. Wtf? She just gave this kid food and a place to sleep and felt sad when he sacrificed his life (basically something any kind and compassionate person would do). And how can she be in a mutual relationship with someone who harmed Bakugan + her friends and even hit her grandfather? I am so mad

this is what i don't like abt the bakugan wiki 😭😭 if there's a mod with a ship bias, they'll definitely let us know.

unfortunately, it seems as if it's only mods who can edit pages. . .so ig this'll stay until someone comes to our rescue.

but yeah, claiming that alice reciprocated lync's feelings (that are dub exclusive btw) when she never did is just blatant misinformation 😭 but i'm not really surprised considering that the text in alice's page is also hinting toward shunalice in numerous places.

on one hand, i don't agree with hydron's treatment of the bakugan but on the other hand, i find him to be a far more interesting character than dan.

One of your ask you say that marucho has technically had crushes on a bunch of people.I was like wtf? When? What I’m missing? What about Ren?

asjhjashkas well some of them are just based on my interpretation of canon but either way, marucho having a couple of brief crushes doesn't erase his feelings for ren.

going through them in no particular order:

dan

this is obviously not canon but dan has undoubtedly influenced marucho's change into a more authentic person and is also credited as such. dan is stated to be the reason why marucho moved to tokyo/wardington (and marucho had a whole skyscraper built for the occasion. hello????) because he greatly admires dan. it's very possible that dan was also the reason why marucho created his own nickname, since dan is the only other person in the cast with a nickname and it's canon that marucho dislikes his given name.

s2 also featured several occasions of marucho following dan into danger, worrying for his safety and dan sensing marucho getting captured by the vexos. this would often be shown alongside ace's frequent worry for mira, which we know is rooted in romantic attraction.

none of this is strong evidence for any romantic attraction on marucho's part, but i like to think he had a little crush on dan that eventually faded.

2. runo & alice

these are really just moments played for laughs between marucho, runo and alice. even so, marucho was clearly misinterpreting the innocent remarks of his female friends and mistaking their intent for something more romantic. this is more apparent in the case with alice, especially since the first scene was cut from the english dub.

3. jenny & jewls (kane and nae)

need i say more? marucho had a very obvious crush on them both (though he favors jewls/nae.)

4. katie (evo tournament comic)

it's strongly hinted that marucho had feelings for katie. even when marucho stated otherwise, julie seemed convinced and when has our queen ever been wrong?

5. ren

marucho had a very close friendship with ren (one that actually mirrored his relationship with katie, a person he was implied to have a crush on. it also shared many parallels with billy and julie, a canon couple.)

their friendship was the focal point of the first third of s3 and addressed by many over the course of the season, to the point where a deity had to intervene to stop them from hurting each other any further. with how much marucho brought up ren, even during war times, it's hard not to imagine that he had feelings for ren (and vice versa.)

a bit of a pet peeve but im not a fan of people referring to masquerade as a girl - he's clearly a male persona and he's referred to as a boy even after he's gone.

yes, his host was a girl but you can acknowledge the plot twist that masquerade came from alice without also disregarding his gender identity

Did you ever find it weird that in Mechtanuim surge arc 2 Mira returned yet didn’t bring baron and Ace with her like are they still friends

i don't really mind the fact that mira didn't bring baron and ace with her because the show already has a hard time making runo and mira relevant within ms2's setting. baron and ace wouldn't really have much to do in bakugan city aside from being professional battlers like dan, shun and marucho.

although i suppose the presence of baron, mira and ace could've negated the need for dan, shun and marucho to wield two attributes and the nostalgia of their collective return would be nice (i'd much rather julie, runo and alice fill out those positions but either way works ig.)

another way to reintroduce them could've been through mira's health scare. the brawlers are obviously unfamiliar with vestal biology so it'd make sense for them to contact ace and baron to make sure nothing's seriously wrong with her and maybe have a look at her vestal medical files. and knowing ace, he'd teleport to earth immediately to see mira. if nothing else, i wish they'd visited for that reason.
