Emma is the only one who always talks so thoughtfully about Rhaenyra's flaws and difficulties and mistakes and yet people will continue saying that they don't understand their character just because they're not saying what they want to hear

If they were sweethearts like Rhaenyra’s boys then I wouldn’t be able to imagine it but the fact of the matter is Aegon’s a rapist who likes to watch children fight to death and Aemond’s a kinslayer who started a war, they’re too far gone.

After Aemond comes back from killing his nephew Aegon throws him a party, this will probably be the trigger for Alicent to realise she’s made a mistake by constantly choosing men over Rhaenyra.

Alicent joins Team Black to protect Helaena and her grandchildren because they’re the only good things left in her life. A mother’s love can only go so far, Alicent deserves to put herself first for once instead of abusive men. Aegon and Aemond aren’t Jace and Luke, they actually have more in common with Maegor and Daemon so it makes sense for Alicent to choose the woman she loves over them.

Plus this will be a throwback to Alicent saying “a true queen counts the cost to her people” she needs to end this civil war to protect the smallfolk and she already knows Rhaenyra will be a good Queen.

Once again I have no idea how the next season is going to play out all I have is my theories, what happened in the book, and all the hints we have gotten from promo and trailers.

I agree that Aegon and Aemond are too far gone (Aegon especially) but she has stood by them at this point. She has sacrificed everything for them and I really don’t see her just throwing that out.

She knows they are monsters but they are still her children at the end of the day. I don’t think she is going to advise people on the best ways to kill them for a friend she hasn’t really spoken to one-on-one in years.

Alicents internal conflict has always been her feelings for Rhaenyra and her fear for her children. She demands Rhaenyra not be killed (which I feel will be an idea she pushes throughout the next season) but she’s also afraid if Rhaenyra ascends her children will be killed.

I can definitely see Alicent regretting her choices (especially with the quote “All my life I have endeavoured to serve both my house and the realm, yet somehow none of that matters.”) but to say she will actively go against her own family feels very out of character.

She wants peace but I don’t think she is willing to pay the price in the form of giving up her sons.

But again this is just my opinion 😊

I just don’t understand why Rhaenyra had kids with Harwin, fine Laenor’s infertile but why didn’t she just get a guy who looks like him and if it has to be Harwin then why didn’t she stop after Jace???

I’m not shocked Emma finds Rhaenyra infuriating, she’s the no.1 cause of her own problems!

I think it had a lot more to do with her feelings for Harwin than her need for an heir.

Was it a dumb choice? Definitely, but she had found someone who cared for her and it was her only escape from a loveless marriage and it was the arrangement they agreed on to ”dine as they see fit”.

If she was allowed to marry who she wanted her children wouldn’t have to be bastards.

I’m going be honest this seems too good to be true 😭

I can’t imagine Alicent abandoning her children because that has been her main drive so far. Everything she has done is for them so I can’t logically see her actively giving daemon of all people advice on how to kill her son.

I want a Rhaenicent reunion as much as the next person but I don’t think they should just throw logic out the window in order to get it.

I’ll settle for the canon angst because I know I will always have AO3 to rely on.

How do you think Blood & Cheese will play out on the show? If bts is correct then either Rhaenyra planned it with Daemon and Misery or she pardons them once she finds out because she’s still raw from Luke’s death.

Honestly I’m not sure because the writers have been so back and forth with the way they’re characterised Rhaenyra so far.

I can see her wanting revenge for Lucerys but I don’t think it would make sense for her to take that out on Helaena of all people. It would probably make the most sense for it to be daemons doing like in the book but again the writers don’t seem to know if they want Rhaenyra to be a total saint or morally grey like everyone else in the show.

The one thing I do know for sure is that I’m gonna be devastated for Helaena

I don’t think Rhaenicent ever becomes sexual, regardless of the AU. Alicent comes off as an asexual lesbian, she enjoys Rhaenyra’s companionship but has no interest in having a physical relationship.

That’s not how I see it but if that’s how you interpret it all the power to you😊
