I have no idea how or why, but for some reason, my dog will absolutely shred my friend's shoes but she doesn't touch mine whatsoever.

She likes to play this game with mom where she begs to be let in from the backyard, mom lets her in, then the dog goes through the doggy door to repeat cycle. She only does this to mom. I used her doing this to make her run back and forth across the outside from one window to another. The entire situation is made weirder by this one time the doggy door was closed, so she smacked her face and temporarily forgot how to use the doggy door. So she had to relearn it.

The dog also understands to scratch on the door to be let in and stand in front of the door to be let out. So, on being let in, I'll usually say "I'm coming" and she won't scratch on the door because it's followed up by me opening the door. However, she's gotten devious on the second half. Sometimes she'll pretend to want to be let out, only to immediately start trying to play or recieve pets when I get up to let her out. There are also two doors leading to my room. If one door is closed, the dog knows that she can scratch on the door to be let in. If both doors are closed, it either means I'm not there or I don't want her in my room at that moment.

Another funny thing is that mom accidentally taught the dog the command "go wake up (me)" because she'd repeatedly say it before opening the door to my room, prompting the dog to jump on my bed. So, for a few weeks I end up sleeping with my door open, mom says "go wake up (me)" and the dog makes a b line for my bed.

She's also learned that I tend to let the dog get away with forbidden behavior. So, she got this one toy that she thought was forbidden, so it stayed in my room. I took the toy away for, like, a week (it was supposed to be, like, a day, because friend was bringing their dog over and I didn't want friend's dog to destroy the toy, but then I forgot about it), and when I gave her the toy back, she just looks at me and takes the toy upstairs, never to appear in my room again (I'm sorry doggo I didn't mean it D:).

Previous dog I had was a Whippet. This dog somehow learned how to open every door in the house, which prompted my parents to replace every door handle into a doorknob because the dog would just keep letting herself in. She also learned the concept of f=mv², to which I mean, whenever she wanted to tug you on a walk, she'd back up to your side before sprinting forwards (small dog but desires Pull). She'd also respond to having blankets piled on top of her by retreating into the blankets.

Gotta love animals. :)

Mine:

- when I was teaching my dog Pinkman to boop she thought she was getting food for hitting her head on things so for like two full weeks she ran around indiscriminately smashing her face into walls and furniture and then asking for a treat

- trying to teach my baby horse Nugget to bow but now he’s just constantly checking his armpits for food

It begins! Inspired by my recent replay of XY, I wanted to make a silly little comic to play around with the plot of the games :D I’ll try to post an update every week, but considering it’s fully coloured, it might end up being longer in the future

I'm not sure how meaningful this is per writer, but I do make the effort to send comments on fics I like, even when those comments are just "cool fic," I think the act of writing it means a lot more than pressing the button since it's a lot more meaningful to read "I liked this" 20 times than to see "20 people liked this fic."

There’s a fic on fanfiction(.)net that I’ve kept tabs on for years to see if it’s been updated or not. While I’m no longer even in the fandom it’s written for, it just has one of the greatest storylines I’ve ever read. Last time it was updated was 2011.

The other day, I decided to reread the entire thing and leave a very in-depth review of what I thought of each chapter. I also mentioned how I started reading it when I was 13 and am now 21, but always came back to see if it was ever finished because I loved it so dearly.

Today, said author sent me a private message saying that her analytics showed that the story was still getting views even after all these years, but no one ever bothered to leave reviews other than “update soon!!!”, so she never felt motivated enough to finish it. She said that me reviewing every single chapter with lengthy paragraphs made her cry and meant the world to her. She also mentioned that she felt encouraged to write the two remaining chapters needed to complete the story and that she would send me a message the night before she updates the fic.

I’m literally sobbing. I’m so excited :’)

Please always remember to leave a review when reading fanfiction!!! It means a lot to a writer.
