Ā Ā Ā Ā āI understand that the intent of this party is to keep morale high. However, it seems like a waste given the year has just begun.ā Eileen shrugged. They had not decided to come to Paragon to have frivolous parties. Rather, they wanted to become the hero their mother was.Ā āWould a training session not be more beneficial?ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā iāll let you in on one of lifeās little lessons, kid. no one in this walk of life should ever complain about cutting loose.Ā ā kids were going to be kids. let them have this moment.Ā ā shake the ants out of your pants. something tells me youāl have plenty of time to learn how to kick ass and take names. I take it no bottomās up for you then?Ā ā

Ā Ā Ā ----- fuk off bruce he can raise orphans too
holy parenting batman ! this is my petit intro. iām sulvan, iām eighteen ( almost @ nineteen ) and i reside in the est timezone. iām currently prepping to go to uni next year to study psych but iāve got the next week or so free and i look forward to meeting you all !! obvs iāll be playing jason todd - albeit a jason todd older than everyone is used to. but iāll put some bullet points down from my brainstormingĀ
*and influence by the bios/notes of his kids on their pages !! ( yes iāve read them )
okay first off !! the batfam is kind of big - it always has been, but now its got an expansion. everyone's. got. kids. and even though jason has always kind of been estranged from the bats, heās still content to play the role of an uncle. okay maybe content isnāt the word. heās probably pretty enthused. these are the kids of the people he essentially grew up alongside - no matter how rocky it was - and now they have rugrats. so shit, yeah of course heāll take a bullet for those kids - or offer to a bullet into their problems. which is kind of a joke.Ā
so jasonās only ever adopted. which was probably shocking enough - to others and to him. because jason RAISING kids??? kids plural. i think he believed it was never going to happen. heās never had stellar parental figures. and he isnāt the most well-balanced individual either. the todds could have expired with him for all he cared. but surprise surprise.Ā
i donāt think even after taking in the first kid that he thought he was adopting or fathering. there was denial initially. he had to be convinced that maybe, just maybe, he could pull this whole thing off. he wouldnāt have been THAT old either. everyone would just notice not so subtle changes to his lifestyle.Ā
ā jason, youāve had that kid for six months - are you positive youāre actively searching for a foster family ?Ā āĀ
orĀ ā i remember there being a lot more knives and ammunition and a lot less cars and action figuresĀ ā
but as stressful as it was - it was cathartic as well. it could finally be that family bond, mostly free of judgement. it wasnāt the bats. they were kids, he could be more open. they needed affection. hell, they deserved it after what theyād been through. and he was going to strive to be everything willis todd wasnāt. because heād be damned if he fathered them like heād been put through.Ā
in fact being told he was a shitĀ ādadā or whatever was probably his worst nightmare. he definitely spends way too much time worrying about what heād do if his kids turned around and told him he was a horrible father - i mean jokes on him because he did that to bruce all the time but ---Ā
so on the down-low he's probably a pretty cool dad. heāll do the tea-parties, dress up, whatever the fuck is needed at the time. heās not as emotionally constipated when heās behind closed doors with his family. but when heās around his brothers/sisters heās still a bit ??? ehhh. heās still same old jason. heāll still tell grandpa bruce to square up, tell dick to fuck off. all that jason todd goodness.Ā
but jasonās always also been pretty good?? heās had sidekicks. and watch him with bizarro in the new outlaws?? and tell me he wouldnāt be a good dad???? ( i mean maybe something happened im not that caught up so fuc ).
heāll let the kids take the lead even if heās supposed to be the adult - heās not one to force it on them that heās their dad or parent. if they just want to see him as a caregiver or supporter, heās fine with that. heāll be there with them every step of the way, but heās never going to make them view him as a father unless they want too. its a step by step process. heās learning. each kid is different.
but yeah, heās probably a bit of a helicopter parent. he knows his past, and his kidsā potential future, and he knows people might want to hurt them. heās paranoid. you might not see him but thereās a good chance heās around - or just a phone call away. king of dropping everything and running when the children need him.
probably still in the red hood gig obvs but he knows heās getting pushed out because the new generation of heroes is coming in and heās getting older y i k e s. it just might not be as hardcore or frequent ?? especially since i tossed in that auto-mechanic job.Ā
i think he wants to show that maybe his kids can do normal if they want?? so he has aĀ ānormalā job. shoots people on the side. he really wants them to get the education he never got but desperately wanted because death got in the way. he loved school. he wants to see them be successful. he doesnāt expect them to go into the vigilante business, but he knows its very likely.Ā
unfort.
remember when i said this would be petit? yeah, me too. i think that covers it?? i might update things with more personal headcanons after some plotting - but this was just general stuff !! iāll be in my IMs now so feel free to hmu if you want to plot or run a thread - iāll try to do some starters as well !!
#ā once a roвιn. alwayŃ an aŃŃ. ā įµįµįµįµįµ#fuck off bruce i can raise kids too were actually his famous last words
