Can angels read human minds? Like Naomi said "I know you're hoping Castiel will return to you". And a lot of other angels told Dean that Castiel liked or was in love with him

I believe Angels are able to sense emotions as Cas said in 4x22 :“I see inside you. I see your guilt, your anger, confusion”

He also sensed Ketch’s emotion / feeling in 12x08:

Ketch: You, Halo. Do you sense I’m lying?Cas: My name is Castiel. And…no. But the truth can be situational.

It seems they can sense feelings, emotions but not read minds per se like “oh, I’d really like a cheeseburger right now”, more sensing hunger and pain and fear.

It’s why I think the idea that he should just be able to read Dean’s mind to tell that he’s in love with him doesn’t stick. He feels love of course and most likely longing (and I think he long has stopped trying to sense Sam and Dean’s emotions out of courtesy but just picks up on things when they’re really strong or when it’s necessary) but its a case of what kind of love.

Which is forever the question between these two right?
