On My Burnt Out Shit

Good… Time of Day, my Sinners. 

Thanks to short staffing and the pandemic, I have been working insane hours, which is causing shortages to my creativity and has making me feel quite burnt out on a consistent basis. 

How much so? A bad day nearly lead to me quitting my job, and then to reward myself for not quitting and to give myself a boost of serotonin, I went and got an ear piercing. Which is healing rather well despite some set backs (learning how to not get my hair caught in it, losing the ball and having to buy a new earring for it just to name a couple). I’ve been doing what I can for my mental health, but unfortunately, it’s not enough. It’s activating my mental psyche to an ugly point, where creativity is garbage.

I want my creativity back, but it’s been hard to stay motivated on a project. I start, and if I don’t finish it in the same roughly 24 hour period, I’m lost. Even if I know what I want to do next. 

So I am, once again, opening commissions (they never really closed in the first place). I’m hoping that maybe a new idea or two from someone will help boost it.

One other thing... When I started trying to figure out what I was (asexual, jury's still out on aro), it was the LGBTQ+ community that helped me and encouraged me and generally went, 'Hey, you're one of us.' I was raised in an extremely homophobic, etc. home--but I got over it because LGBTQ+ peeps were cool and they validated what I was going through. This is why I will now die for any of them. Being inclusive gets you allies, not enemies.

I’ve missed this (I’ve been taking a Twitter holiday for the last month, for my own mental health), but I can imagine. I’m sorry. 

Trans women are women. Trans men are men.  Trans rights are human rights. I’m sorry that some people have such a hard time getting their heads around that. But the world is changing, and history is with you.
