my blog, is my safe place. here I will post and reblog things that make me happy or I find important. I am also a witch and a male feminist, so if you don't like witchcraft or are against equity/women's rights just stay out. i am twin brother to misstrusofthenight, I'd be cool if you would fallow her too. I like flowers, hot chocolate, talking to strangers, and my wife (to be).

I can guarantee you that approximately 0% of people who are going to protest within the next few days are expecting trump to just be like “oops! Y'all got me! I’ll resign” because that’s not the point. Protesting can’t automatically undo what has already been done, but it does send a message of distaste, shows that people will make noise if they sense injustice, and signifies that citizens will continue to protest as worse things (may) happen. It’s a response, not a plea

Only local news sources have been talking about this as far as I’ve seen, but the owner of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is SUEING Native Hawaiians for land ownership of small parcels of land they own on/near his private 700 acres of property on the island of Kauaʻi. Mark Zuckerberg is following in his ancestors’ history, he is a modern day colonizer.
Here is the article in the tweet above http://www.staradvertiser.com/2017/01/20/hawaii-news/zuckerberg-turns-to-social-media-to-defend-himself/
and an article explaining the lawsuit http://www.staradvertiser.com/2017/01/18/business/facebooks-zuckerberg-sues-to-force-land-sales/?HSA=74dae150a1d9f99e2592d0eac31ea430d01f35d5

Did You Know Catherine The Great Had An Insane Library?
Tumblr media
As an unhappily married grand duchess, the future Catherine the Great put her “eighteen years of boredom and seclusion” to good use.  A voracious reader, Catherine assembled a large personal library reflecting her broad interests — from history, philosophy and politics to science, travel and art.  As she did with Old Master paintings, Catherine II snagged entire libraries, including those of French philosophes Voltaire and Denis Diderot.  To seal the 30,000 ruble deal with Voltaire’s niece and heir, Catherine threw in diamonds, furs, and a jeweled box with her portrait.  In 1779, twelve large crates containing his 6,760 volumes were unpacked in the Oval Room of the Winter Palace. Catherine was ecstatic. When Diderot died six years later, his books were installed beside those of Voltaire.  Among the art critic’s 2,904 volumes was the only uncensored copy of his masterpiece, Encyclopédie, which Catherine called “indispensable.”

the more i am exposed to about the world the smaller my bubble becomes of what i can even approach with my brain and heart. before 18 y/o, i accepted like 80% of the world, only having the smallest doubts, but i pretty much accepted the normalcy of all the things surrounding me like school, military, industry, goverment, “culture”, technology, healthcare, “environmentalism”. over the last few years every curtain has been pulled down for me. there is no delusion left. and it’s fucking terrifying and depressing and incomprehensible to live in this society without delusion. that what’s it’s built on and without it it’s just like dada surrealism matrix 1s and 0s. there’s so many cases of the smartest people in history going crazy and killing themselves and like no wonder, this society has a built in disposal mechanism for people who pull down curtains.
