Mastery Reflection
DMCD
November 19, 2023
In the month of November during our classes for Digital Marketing Campaign Development we learned and refreshed on how to do an effective presentation that effectively delivers the message we want the audience to receive. It’s important to have something that compliments the information you are giving in order for the audience to follow you without getting bored but also not put any unnecessary information that the audience can just read and go ahead of what you are saying. We also did an audit of our personal brand, checked if we appear on search engines that people use and what information we could find of us online. We did a rundown of all of our social media presences, and we evaluated that the branding of each and every profile correlates with the others. With this we found out that our busiest account is our Instagram account. We also refreshed and discussed various different marketing strategies and tactics and how to implement them into our digital marketing plan for our case study company. We read on storytelling, some additional information that I found very interesting this month talked about AI in marketing and how it may affect the industry and us as marketers. I came to a conclusion that these new technologies whilst exciting are also scary due to the fact that many of these AI technologies are meant to facilitate and certain situations replace us for a cheaper or even free solution to their problems.

Digital Marketing Master’s
Digital Marketing and the Law
This month I consider it to be one of the most productive ones of them all so far. I got to learn what specifically can be considered as a work that can be copyrighted and what types of work can’t like things done with AI. We studies laws of defamation and how can defamation be committed in the cyberworld by bloggers of if AI can be culpable of defamation. Personally, I enjoyed this class because I am now able to apply all this new knowledge to my music career and help out my clients a little bit more. Another very important thing that we studied this month was cybercrime and what is considered to be a SPAM and where the name came from. This is good for those who want to do email marketing and apply it to their businesses. We also got to learn about privacy and privacy policies and how the first amendment really affects the cyberworld. I now feel like I’m better prepared to identify a situation in which I should get a lawyer’s assistance for a legal situation that I have to defend or take charge against. Personally, this is all great information that I can apply with my clients, my online music store and the jewelry company I market for.

Advanced Search Engine Optimization
Reflection:
During this month of July, I was able to learn and compile knowledge on Advanced Search Engine Optimization topics taught in class. We were taught different concepts about pay-per-click advertisements and how to apply them correctly for our company to gain more traffic on their website. In order to see what works best we can use split testing. We also gained knowledge on strategies for researching and choosing effective keywords. We used spyfu to explore the keywords and see how many people actually use those keywords on their searches and if we would actually gain something out of using those words. We also got to understand the different search types and what each is seeking. We know we have navigational searches, informational searches, and transactional searches. Another thing we did during this class is practice our ability to sell search-marketing services or consulting clients about marketing services and we understood how to make reasonable projections on the ROI for the company we’re offering the services to. We also put together an effective link-building campaign so that we could gain more traffic and maybe more sales. We learned to analyze internal versus external SEO practices that could work best and tools to create a plan for link building. We learned about common errors and mistakes made to websites that can affect their rankings like having bad links. Most of the subjects we learned in this class are things I can do and apply to my case study company and would be able to see some improvements. In the next weeks I will be putting them to the test.
