tres leches is a god tiered dessert and when i saw a matcha version of it on instagram, i had to make it, and used my friends bday as the perfect occasion, bc they were japanese and could speak spanish. needless to say, it was a confectionary perfection, despite not having enough time to soak the cake in the milk (there had been a power outage that day and i could not bake the cake in time). plus shoutout to some friends who came to the bday early to help frost the cake with strawberry whipped cream frosting and used diced strawberries to make a 21 bc it was my friend’s 21st.
