Alright guys, we’ve made it to opening day! I can’t wait for us to get started. The main will be posted at 6:00 PM today, EST! In the meantime, I’ll be here answering any questions you might have! I’ve got a few questions in the inbox that I’ll tackle now.

What's the criteria for creating original characters?

There will be a separate application for original characters that will just ask for a bit more information on them because we, of course, want to learn about them! As far as “criteria” I’m not sure there is any, as long as they fit into Wade as a backdrop, meaning, they’re not like… an elf (yeah, it’s not elves), or as long as you don’t interject them to closely into the plot line without first clearing it with me. 

Meaning: please don’t apply as… Josie’s murderer, or anything.

With children characters are you speaking more along the lines of teens or younger children? I feel like I’m town role plays, younger kids add a lot but they are more of npc characters or side characters

Totally understand what you mean, teenagers would be great as well; I just think a range of ages would add to the richness of the writing environment, add a lot! I could defintely see younger side/NPCs as well.

what kind of original characters would you like to see? in terms of personalities / backstories / jobs??

I think there are still a LOT of great archetypes missing from the town that would fit in perfectly! A rival soccer mom for Desperate Housewife? The dRAMA, more teachers would be great, I would consider F.B.I. agents who’ve come into town to investigate Josie’s death, I think children would be a fascinating part of the town (though I think they would have to be done tactfully/respectfully), employees of any of the locations, town councilmen, sketchy drifters, a deputy for Gun Belt, older characters (40′s - 60′s, etc). Lawyers, architects, strippers, small business owners... I seriously could go on, and on!

Could Katie McGrath work here? if so, whick skeleton(s) could fit her?

I think she would be a very fitting Gone Girl! Katie would be welcomed as an original character, as well.

can i get a playlist for einstein, please? no rush at all though!

Of course! Songs that remind me of Einstein: Picture of Success - Rilo Kiley (the lyrics for real), along with The Greatest - Cat Power, Chamber of Reflection - Mac DeMarco, Falling - Florence + The Machine, LITERALLY anything instrumental because I feel like all they listen to is study music because it’s so engrained in them. Probably lots of classical music; staring into the void, listening to Debussy. Also Girls Just Want to Have Fun is valid for some reason, don’t even ask me why – “my mother says ‘when you gonna live your life right?’” seems actuate though.

Just answered this on another question (oops on my part) but we’ll be opening March 31st, which is this coming Tuesday around 3:00 PM or so, depending on feedback from you guys, I’m not super picky time wise!

Ahhh!!! I'm so excited to see that this is back!! I remembering working on an app for this literal years ago! Fingers crossed you get to actually get this up and running this time around because I'm absolutely in love with this group!

I have a super bad track record with this rp & opening, which is inexcusable, and not something I’m proud of. But this time I’m really devoted to getting it up, and running because I still have so much love for it in my heart, and your guys continuous support shows me you do, to. It’s more than appreciated.

The opening date of March 31st is still in place. I’m thinking around 3:00 PM EST as far as the exact time of opening– of course, there will be no rush for people from different time zones, etc. to jump on as the application will be up for about five days/a week depending on how long we all need for the application as it’s a more intensive one. During that time I’ll encourage everyone to use the talk tag, really get in touch with their chosen skeleton/original character, and do my best to keep everyone equally invested with possible prompts/answering any questions you may have.

I love you guys, and I can’t wait to get spooky as fuck with you. I’ll be around a ton to answer questions today, so don’t hesitate to get them in!
