this is home to mateo. he has had a lot of trauma here yes, but it's also been a huge part of him and he doesn't want to ever leave honestly. while everything happened with his mom, it has only pushed him in the direction of nursing. he wasn't sure for a long time what he wanted to do with his life but one day it all just clicked and seemed to make sense tat he should be helping others and taking care of them, so he enrolled into nursing school where he has completed a semester and is ready to keep going. 

How does your muse view themselves as a person? How does that compare to how your muse’s best friend views them?

a lot of people would view mateo as naive and will believe anything. that is something that he disagrees with because he isn't naive he is just a soft and caring person who is always there for others because he knows that the world can be an unkind place. his best friend hunter views them the same way. they know what he's been through and knows that it doesn't make mateo weak or naive. they've been there to support him all along. 

What is the coolest place your muse has traveled to? If they’ve never traveled far, what’s one place they hope to visit someday?

honestly, mateo has never left the state of texas. he has always wanted to, but he never got the opportunity. one place he wants to go to inside the united states in las vegas. he wants to be around the bright lights and the amazing music. a place outside of the united stated would be africa so that he can go and help out there. his big plan is after he gets his license in nursing os to go to africa and spend some time there. 

CHARACTER - BIOGRAPHY

mateo was always a happy kid. even when he was dealing with everything with his mom. she had a lot of issues and he hated it, but he did the best he could to help her out because besides adriana, she was his best friend. it was nice to have a sister like adriana who was always willing to help out too and they worked as a unit where they could balance each other out. she was more sharp tongued and he was more happy and thought a lot through before he made his next move.

matty kept to himself in school because he didn't want to get too close to many people because they were judgmental and he didn't need everybody knowing that his mom had fought with an illness for so long. he didn't have amazing grades, but he did enough to pass in between help his mom out and still trying to do his homework, it was hard but his teachers understood.

he decided to start working as a server in restaurants just to pay the bills and even though it wasn't something that he was in love with, he always had a smile on his face when he did it. he was a nice person and liked interacting with others. luckily, a lot of his classmates left blackstone to go on and do something else so he wasn't haunted by most of them. he can be seen as naive, but he's not stupid. a lot of people think that of him because of how he comes off as soft and he uses that to his advantage sometimes to get what he wants.

fast forward to the last year of his life. he finally decided to go to see a therapist about his mom and that he never had a father figure in his life. this therapist really helped him work through it and with that, helped him determine that he actually wanted to go to school for nursing. he wanted to help people that were ill and even worse, he wanted to go for oncology. he enrolled back in january and has completed one semester and he's looking forward to finishing up in the next year and a half so that he can help others because it was something that he was made for.
