FINAL POST
When I think about the whole idea of CAS, I think it is a nice way to persuade students to extracurricular activities. However, when it came to CAS in practice I have mixed feelings about it. From one hand, I had the excuse to bake in my free time, when I was in urgent need of sweets. Thanks to that I could deepen my interest in cooking and baking. What’s more, I could continue learning German, which I would most probably abandon before high school, because of studying for exams and writing IA or EE. However, my CAS blog persuaded me to continue my hobby. Also, going to Kracow for Conrad festivals was also a valuable and new experience, which I did just to complete CAS. However, thanks to these trips, I realised that such a scientific mind as I am can also understand and like literature. It broadened my horizons and changed my approach to literature and perceiving the world. Everything I did for CAS, I enjoyed, besides the ’S’ part being service. Unfortunately Habitat for Humanity was a total failure in my opinion. The meeting were frequently canceled or postponed, which results in lack of service posts. Moreover, I was pretty tired of these bake sales. I am aware of the fact that they were for Nobel purpose, but leaders could be more creative and thought of different, more efficient way of collecting money. However, I have to admit that I enjoyed participating in renovation of single’s mother flat in Warsaw, but it is a shame, that throughout 3 years there has been something like 3 renovating events in overall. In my opinion it was the only Nobel and valuable part of the service, but luckily I managed to experience that. To conclude, documenting every activity that I did throughout 3 years has been tiring and difficult. Most of the time students updated their blog one day before CAS blog check deadline, so it kind of pointless. Nevertheless, I have improved some skills - German, baking, running; or tried new things - going to Cracow, learning to dance for prom.

CAS PROJECT 3
After that day I had a lot of emotions and reflections. First of all, I am happy that we, as a group, worked together and managed to make ‘Just dance’ station as we planned. At the beginning I thought that we will not have a lot of guests, however, preIB kids proved me wrong. We had a lot of students coming, our peers and from preIB, which was amazing. There was no moment when we were bored. Moreover, I got to know new students and I managed to talk to them. They asked me many questions about how IB looks like and my subjects. I am happy and fulfilled that I could help them and answer their questions. In a nutshell, I think that it was very successful and rewarding day, because I met new people, improved my teamwork skills and I could dance with my friends.

CAS PROJECT 2Â
The Fresher’s day took place on 12.10.2018. On this day we decided to meet at school at 8 am in order to decorate the rook and complete everything what we planned to do. In Aula, I was inflating balloons and then passing them to girls, who were sticking them to walls and decorating the room. Thanks to that, process of preparation took much less time than we expected. Then, Jan came and struggled with connecting xbox to projector, but luckily, everything worked out. Then when everything was ready, we had some extra time, so we played a few rounds of the game. I it is amazing how the game brings people together. We had a lot of fun, however, we had to start welcoming new students. I hope that preIB students liked our station, and they felt welcomed by us.

CAS PROJECT 1 - Fresher’s Day (12.10.2018)
For my CAS project I chose preparation of Fresher’s day for preIB students. I and my group were thinking a lot about what activity we should do in order to make it unusual and engaging. Therefore, we chose to do ‘Just dance’ station in our B1 class, where preIB student had the opportunity to dance with other peers and socialize with us. Everyone did something in order to make our station prepared, welcoming and well decorated. So, Jan brought xbox and game, I was inflating balloons and girls were decorating the room. Due to or group work, we managed to make it.

Creativity - special Hawaiian food preparation - it is not a dessert! This is a healthy breakfast, quick and nutrtitionist-approved. Its ingredientes are really easy to buy: frozen fruits, soya milk, honey, acai powder (from Hawaiian blueberry) and for the topping: bananas, strawberries, cunchy and peanut butter.

Activity - second to last prom dance practice, everyone seems to understand the steps perfectly, which is incredible. There is only one obstacle - a small hall.

Service - teaching English as a substitution for HfH meetings. For one hour I was expaining basic future tenses this time. The kids are not even patient enough to sit straight for 10 minutes :)) and at this point past, present and future is are all together causing a lot of confusion for them.

Activity - prom dance practice: not more than few more times we practice, and none of us know what is going on. As our dancing-hall has been changed for the third time, we had to adjust our dance routine once again, meaninig that there is total chaos.

Activity - going to the gym for the first time in the new year! It was crowded like never before, but believe me, in two weeks no one of these people will be seen here again. Their New Year’s resolution will not last even a month.
