I try not to buy into speculation and rumors. Especially when this sort of petty shit would get one blacklisted fast. I don't doubt passions can run this high but still, innocent before proven guilty.
I dont want to sound like an elitist but the people who write tv shows arent doing a good job

The Case for Fairy Tail’s Death Fake-Outs
I think Craftsdwarf put it best in how Manga like Fairy Tail often utilize these shocks to increase reader interest since they often live or die by the brutalities of the Manga industry.
Even so, these moments can feel more than a little… clickbait-y where they’re leading you on. However, I feel like giving a lot of these their due. As what they lack in actual character loss, they make up for it in character gain.
1. Erza merges with the Tower of Heaven which would kill here and seemingly sees a future where her guildmates are coming apart at the seams over her passing, least of all being Natsu.
She doesn’t die but it gives her the perspective needed to make progress as a character when she sees what she means to others. It fits with an arc that’s all about facing her past demons and letting others into her heart.
2. Lyon seemingly blowing up with Racer works to show how he’s truly turned over a new leaf after being Gray’s nemesis.
3. Perhaps Wendy’s defining moment for me was when F.A.C.E. had to be exploded on sight by Carla. Yes, her kicking Ezel’s ass with Dragon Force was a sight to behold but it was afterwards that cemented her growth and cemented my adoration for her.
Wendy could’ve ran away herself or, more likely, grabbed Carla and got to safety. However, she realized at the time that FACE needed to be stopped before it was too late. So she choose to stay with her closest friend and do what would’ve likely killed her. Not because she thought herself as disposable but because she knew she was valuable. As a friend. As a wizard.
Fans may complain that Doranbolt’s rescue undermines this moment but her dying wasn’t the point. It was her having the bravery to not abandon Carla to die alone, her bravery to face certain death for the sake of stopping Tartaros. She never accounted for any last minute rescues. This was it as far as she was concerned.
4. Now for the Alverez Arc, starting with Gajeel. Bloodman’s suicide attack incites a moment not unlike Erza’s above where Gajeel takes stock of his life in what seems to be the end of it. It highlights how he went from a rebel without a cause to a true Fairy Tail guildmate as well as cement his love for Levy.
5. Juvia and Lucy’s both are similar but also incite Gray’s eventual confrontation with Etherious Natsu Dragneel, leading to a sort of closure for the former young man.
6. The only real one that does rub the wrong way is that of Makarov’s supposed final Fairy Law casting. Part of it does come from how while the other characters feel like there’s more to gain from them, the Guild Master himself has always been an older father figure with all the cornerstone’s a of Mentor.
The Mentor death, be it at the beginning or near end of a story, is cliched… but for good reason. In a coming of age story, this is the metaphorical moment where the characters can’t fall back on any wise, old coots for emotional or battle support.
This does feel like a weird editorial mandate considering how much time had passed between his presumed death and his revival. Maybe if he was shown to be sick and said to have been in a coma where there was no telling if he’d pull through, that’d at least work.
It’s not as deal breaking as some make it out to be but I do see how it would sour people on this arc. The better kind are the ones that less so make us hope they made it out or at least give us some character growth. Less so are like, “Yeah, I survived so let’s move on.”

I mean... I never thought Lila as supernaturally good so much as skilled from years of grifting. She knows what to say to people and how to approach them. Even if caught in a lie, she makes herself out to be "just as much a victim" so even if she gets in trouble, she can minimize damage to her.
I mean, have you seen YouTube's geekdom spaces lately? They are so many that you'd swear Lila was based on their M.O.s.
Hence why Alya, at best, thinks that she exaggerates but isn't being mean about it. At most, some would think that she has done a lot of her extraordinary feats but stretches details like any teen would. Her concern lies mostly with Marinette getting worked up over nothing at best or her crush with Adrien getting out of hand.
Her becoming the next Hawk Moth is even foreshadowed when she causes an already troubled Sabrina emotional distress and predicts exactly when she'll be akumatized. As a student in Marinette's new school, of course she's gonna work her silver tongue and sow the seeds for new villains.
The Miraculous Fandom really seems to lack imagination.
I found a video essay calling Lila aimless as a villain but like… maybe they’re going to reveal what her game in Season 6 will be.
Maybe she wants the world kissing her foot?
Maybe she wants to stop living lies and have the perfect life.
Maybe she wants all her lies to be true and have an extraordinary life?
Dunno but it’s fun to speculate.
And I refer to CinemaSins because a common facet of their “critiques” are just questioning things that either are on a need to know basis exposition wise orrrrrr didn’t need much explanation aside from, say, magic exists.
There’s also an unwillingness to look at something for what it is and analyze it appropriately but rather lambast it for something it isn’t.
So many are hung up on being blue balled by a Chloe’s would’ve been redemption arc yet and deeper look into her doubling down on being nasty as well as how she’s an example of some people choosing not to be helped or sabotaging her efforts to turn herself around.
How she demonstrates the banality of evil and, while not super riveting, is a story that feeds into the themes of the masks we wear and what persona we put on.
Adrien wasn’t there to see Gabriel off but how might that serve the story in Season 6 since Lila knows how his father truly died yet so many act like the show’s over. Frankly, they were very economical with this story and made a good call to not overload the Season 5 finale's storyline with something so loaded like Adrien learning true origins.
Imagine how Season 6 and 7 may contend with this, especially when Lila likely knows. She couldn't have asked for a better weapon against Ladybug. And Marinette will have the truth weighing on her mind in lying not just to Chat Noir but also Adrien.
So many claim that the story and plot never process but Season 4 and five have virtually no filler with at least ONE episode having something going on that affects the wider tapestry of the slowburn story.
For god’s sake, guys, can we balance what we what with what the show chooses for itself? People are still uppity about Migration despite Luka coming back under Su-Han’s tutalege. Him knowing how to ward off Akumas sure will come in handy.

It just feels like... an excersise in futility. Like big shock. The animated feature that took full advantage of its medium hit a touch too different with a film that was not only made purely on corporate demand (as opposed to being generally meddled with).
Get this scholar a YouTube Channel. Rank and file.

Is there even a point to getting mad at live action adaptations anymore?
I mean... what do you expect by this point? Even if they generally pay respect to the original, it's gonna feel like a cheap imitation unless they are REALLY good at matching things.
If they adapt the ideas but generally march to the beat of their own drum, many will take it an insult to the original or willfully missing the point.
Animation isn't live action. Live action isn't animation.
And these projects aren't going away at all. Sure, YOU might boycott. We could organize a massive boycott with plenty of people... but not enough.
For one thing, these new adaptation's command our attention. How will this new version botch our favor scene? The trailer looks nice actually. Maybe it'll be good actually?
For another, many YouTubers or big name bloggers WILL inevitably review the remake. They are monetarily obligated to do so. Even if it's bad, people want their dread either denied or reaffirmed. Thus this means that a lot of people will indeed check out the thing.
Pirate all you want but that attention will have a run-off effect on those not verse in sailing the digital seven seas. Thus keeping this neverending cycle neverending.

if you like a piece of media that is good eventually youll more or less run out of things to say about how good it is but if you like a piece of media that is objectively pretty mediocre but also somehow deeply compelling thats how the demons get you

Master Fu Was a Good Mentor Actually.
When Season 1 came out well, “Origins” wasn’t the debut in any country. So we just had to the show at face value in terms of two teenagers being superheroes facing off against a villain that created minions of his own. The question was… how did they get their powers? Why were they, kids of all people, deemed worthy of them?
Did their Kwami scout them out? Was there some higher power at work that determined who got the Miraculous? How did Hawk Moth get his own? Why wasn’t this person, if there was one, guiding our heroes like a real mentor should? The answers came with “Origins” be it after “Volpina” or as a mid-season premiere and… were not what we expected.
