Technical Skills Learnt:
Live streaming is something I have previously watched but it was never something I had done before today. Live streaming allows you to be “engaging proposition when it provides exclusive content that allows the fan to experience authentic insights into the rituals and traditions” (Wymer, S 2021). I chose to live stream on Twitch as it was the easiest app to make an account and begin streaming. The technical skills I learnt were how to exactly use Twitch, when I watched live streaming I've only ever viewed it on Youtube so Twitch was a new experience for me. I also learnt how to actively engage with a live audience to try and maintain and increase my viewer base. In my live stream I instructed the viewer on how to use stairs in a safe manner.
Purpose: 
The purpose of live streaming is to provide insight to fans to a raw, uncut side they've never previously experienced. The purpose of live streaming events is to create the feel that the spectator is missing out by not being at the event, in order to try and attract the person to attend the live event in the future. Statistically spectators of live stream events are more likely to attend then viewers who watch the game in the future or not watch it at all. The purpose is also to engage with fans so they are kept up to date in real time with what's occurring.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
Live Streaming enhances fan experience as they get to experience the game in real time as if they would if they were at the game. “Live streaming has several advantages over traditional media”(Sripanidkulchai, K Maggs, B Zhang, H 2014).The footage is raw, uncut and unedited making it one of the most authentic forms of media. It gives fans behind the scenes footage to scenes they may have previously not experienced.

Video Interview

Technical Skills Learnt:
Video interviews are a “Tool for many purposes, from marketing Web sites to social networks and technology evolved”(Haddouk, L 2013). Whilst recording and conducting a video interview I learnt a lot of new skills. Like the importance and benefits of different camera angles, I used a mid shot. A mid shot is used to clearly show the face of the interviewees and emotions whilst still informing the audience on what's going on around them. I also learnt the skill of the framing of the video, i used the rule of symmetry to keep the interviewed person left or right of the centre of the video. I video Bailey on the top third/right hand side x axis to focus on his face. Lighting of video is crucial to the finished product of the video, the correct lighting determines the mood of the video.
Purpose: 
The purpose of video interviews is to engage with the interviewee as well as engaging whomever is viewing the video. We want our video interview to be an organic and authentic viewing experience for all consumers of the product. Most importantly our video must tell a story of emotions by using visual and audio.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
Video footage contributes to fan engagement as video is naturally engaging to everybody, the mixture of video and audio footage. Video footage is simple to digest and has “grown exponentially in recent years”(Garcia-Fernandez, J 2017). You don’t need to try to listen or read anything as the visual is naturally engaging. If everything is done correctly when recording the video, the emotions of people are displayed and are contagious to the consumer as they can see the visual disturbance as well as listen to the tone, contributing to the fan experience.

Instagram Photos

Technical Skills Learnt:
Social media platforms are an integral part of the modern world. Instagram is one of the most popular platforms of social media. I have previously used instagram and edited my photos, however never to the detail or depth that I have on these photos. Photography is powerful; they are “tools of exploration, passports to inner sanctums, instruments for change” (Draper, R 2013).Previously I have heard of composition however I had never used the ‘rule of thirds’, in the photos present below the composition rule of thirds has been used. The adjustment of exposure is the colour shades in a photograph; it exposes the intended focus and adjusts the lighting to expose and capture the intended object. We also learnt how to use a frame within a frame, it helps move the viewer's eye to the intended object.
Purpose: 
The purpose of imagery is storytelling. Storytelling allows the consumer to reminisce on memories. It is well known that sporting organisations “benefit from social media as an engagement platform” (Vale, L Fernandes, T 2018). Reminding them of previous places, feelings, people and stories that may have not been present in their mind. Instagram photos allow for reflection on previous events whilst also showing your friends and followers what you have been up to.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
Instagram photos contribute to fan experience as you can capture the expression on the athletes faces so you can get an insight of how the athlete is feeling at the moment the photos are taken. The photos allow you to capture an atmosphere, when it is posted on instagram fans see these photos and feel as if they’re missing out on the event, in the future they will more likely attend as they are in fear of missing out again. It also allows fans to see events they missed out on so they can stay up to date with the newest information.

Podcast: My Sporting Dream

Technical Skills Learnt:
Podcasting has rapidly increased in popularity over recent years despite being around for generations, “voice media has positively impacted how we are able to consume media”(Goldman, T 2018).Personally I found recording a podcast by myself rather difficult, I can keep a conversation with someone when recording normal podcasts. When you are by yourself though there is no one to bounce back off, no moments of rest and no pauses for thoughts. Recording a podcast is not something I have previously done so I learnt how to record audio through the use of Rode Reporter. After transporting that audio I then learnt how to edit audio by cutting and adjusting the volume of my voice using Adobe Audition. After listening back through my podcast, editing the peaks and troughs of my voice I then started playing with sound FX and inserted some into my podcast, I used the audio of an MCG crowd roar.
Purpose: 
They act as an insightful form of media, the purpose of podcasting is it provides insightful information to listeners, costing them little to record and produce. Podcasts are a long form of content as there is no time limit at all on how little or how long a podcast can go for, therefore information discussed doesn’t feel crammed. Sporting organisations and other podcast creators have complete control over the content discussed or spoken about which is unlike any other form of media. Showing greater depth and inside to those hosting.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
The popularity of podcasts has rapidly increased with the assistance of lack of entertainment over COVID restrictions. “Today’s podcasts are simply better. Most podcasts used to be pretty amateurish”(Roose, K 2014). Podcasts enhance a sporting fans experience as they are provided access to a side of players or the sporting organisation that they may have never seen before. The podcast experience is more raw than other forms of social media, where no conversation is essentially off the table and can’t be talked about. It is more of a personalised form of media as fans can experience the tones and emotions through the change in voice pitch of those hosting, showing the fan a more vulnerable/happy/sad side of the person that they may have never experienced.

Detailed Plan For A Website

Technical Skills Learnt:
I found creating a detailed plan for a website to be very interesting. Websites allow sporting organisations “share their own interactive media”(Monroy-Hernández, A 2011).I chose to create a plan for the MLBC Lakers as they’re my old Basketball club, I believe their website currently contains low resolution pictures and is not very simple to understand and function. When creating the plan I learnt how to make websites user friendly via the use of a few drop boxes that contain simple to understand headings. Integration of social media into the website is integral in the 21st century, websites act as a hub for players and parents to access social media as they can then click on social media links from the website. Lastly, I learnt the importance of placing important items in appropriate easily accessible areas, for example the registration button.
Purpose: 
Websites act as a fast way for players and parents to access information from the club's history, values to upcoming games (fixtures) and contact details. They're extremely convenient as they are accessible on any device that has connection to the internet, you don't need an account to access the information on the websites like you do on social media platforms. As they’re web based it allows access to the world, enhancing the demographic of people accessing and consuming information from the website.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
The purpose of any website is to enhance fan experience. Websites enhance the experience of fans through the simplicity of being able to access important information at their fingertips. Websites enhance the “capacity to broaden the fan experience”(Rowe, D Alice Baker, S 2012). No phone or computer storage is taken up by a website, as long as there is internet anyone can access the website, without accounts unlike social media. The accessibility and simplicity of websites is very practical and user friendly, the usability of a website is integral in fan experience.

Technical Skills Learnt:
Whilst creating my interactive article I learnt a lot of new skills, I had never created an interactive article before so everything was new to me. Interactive articles allow “The transmission of news, messages, and ideas is instant” (Hohman, F et al 2020). I learnt how to drag and drop video and audio files, previously I had transported photos but never anything other than that. As well as the importance of incorporating quizzes, polls and stories for fans to engage with to gain and maintain the attention of consumers. Lastly I learnt how to correctly structure an interactive article and what to include under different headings and subheadings.
Purpose: 
The purpose of interactive articles is inevitably to engage with consumers to try and get them to stay on your article as long as possible, as the longer they stay the more likely they are to re-engage in the future or buy your products or services. Interactive articles increase website traffic through engagement. They work as a great alternative media form to attract new consumers/fans.
Contributing To Fan Experience:
Interactive articles contribute to the fans' experience through the use of interactive graphics and visualisations, which they might not find elsewhere, “enabling a pathway to growth and success” (Panchanathan, S et al 2016). It is found that it helps resonate with the reader more than other forms of digital media do, linking the text with relevant videos and imagery. Interactive articles help effectively communicate complex topics by using various strategies on the article.
