25 years ago, Darth Maul appeared for the first time in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, released in theatres on the 19th of May. The character was designed by Iain McCaig, portrayed by Ray Park, and voiced by Peter Serafinowicz.

After about a month, the plates are finally here and painted! I decided to stray from the original idea of the asymmetric design on the breast plates and decided with a sort of trapezoidal shape for them radiating from the ka’rta beskar (iron heart). The bottom chest plate is also different, looking more like a red belt than a triangle. The person who makes my armor, SpartansArmory on Etsy, upgraded my armor free of charge to the more detailed set! Here is the final product for the paint and plates! I messed up a few of the lines, but I think it adds to the look. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I will update when the plates are mounted onto a plate carrier (cannot afford a flak vest).

New poll time! I came up with a new design for the chest plates which may be more popular. I do very much like the Republic insignia though I do agree with a lot of you that the triangle on the left breast plate is nice.

The next part of my armor is going to be the chest and back! One of the most iconic parts of Mandalorian armor.

Option 1 and option 2

The armor is supposed to honor the clones, with the helmet being a phase II clone helmet modeled after Commander Neyo’s helmet. This is one of the most important parts of the armor so I need input!

Maul is just showing off and does this completely unnecessary jump to back away, doesn't bother to use the Force to open the doors but throws something at the controls.

I’m having SO MUCH FUN doing all of my funny little projects instead of the things I need to do. Just about a week ago, I put together THIS GUY

With files from Droid Division on Etsy, I 3D printed this tactical droid head and painted him (for which I have no pictures yet but I will keep updating). Now all that is left is to put in the guts of a Google Home (or similar device) and make him corporate spyware!

This is the latest addition to my armor. It’s steel shoulder plates shaped by SpartansArmory on Etsy and then painted by me. I’m using basic rustoleum paint to keep them nice and safe. The red and grey plate has a bit of paint where it’s not supposed to, but I don’t mind that too much. I think it adds character! Speaking of character, I also added some stickers to the white and blue plate for a fun little addition!

The Max Rebo sticker is ProjectLUNAROCK on Etsy and the droideka is MISSVISCERA on Etsy. I feel very strongly about supporting small creators over the big corporations! The mounting system is a work-in-progress currently, but that is going along perfectly!
