"But its so fun."

Theres an outright happiness that follows her words in a sing=song, having been technically banned for years due to an incident involving a skate instructor that she wasn't about to revisit in fear of Angels panicking over his fingers. Still, a few minutes and she'd taken like a duck to water.

(perhaps it was skill, perhaps luck, perhaps the fact she'd kept up skating in roller skates).

"You just have to let go of the side—" she hums, giggling as she does. Knowing that's a fine case for falling over. Maura skates over towards him, coming to a stop at his side. "You're too rigid." She remarks, laugh escaping her lips as she turns slightly, now moving backwards with an impressive ease.

"Come on—" she holds out her hands, offering to help him. If he were brave enough to put his trust in her.

"I don't think humans were supposed to skate on ice."

Angel stressed through gritted teeth, hands outstretched either side for balance as he took his first step out onto the ice. Why had he agreed to joining Maura at the rink? Angel wasn't an ice skater, he'd never even put on a pair of skates before today. He was much more comfortable on the beach with a surf board, floating idly on the water and awaiting a wave.

He would have to take her surfing for their second date—if he survived the night on the ice that was.

"How are you making this look so easy?" Angel gaped, casting Maura a sidelong glance. She was a natural, poised and elegant as she skated past him like she was born to be an ice skater, meanwhile Angel resembled something much more similar to Bambi's first time on ice.

"Seriously, what is your secret?"
