i’m lost of words as i’m writing this out because i can’t put the right words together anymore. 7 days ago, on february 6th two massive earthquakes happened in turkey & syria with the power of 7.8. there are still earthquakes (aftershocks) happening till this day. so many people lost their lives. the number is up to 30.000 right now. so many people lost their loved ones. their homes…

HOW CAN WE HELP?

if there is any local points in your city/country etc., collecting items for these countries, these are things you can donate: diapers, baby bottles, pacifiers, baby clothes, wet wipes, toothbrushes/toothpastes, shampoo, sanitary pads, warm clothes, thick coats, shoes, socks, first aid kits, blankets, tents, sleeping bags. please add more in the comments. 

WHAT SHOULD WE BE AWARE OF?

there are disgusting people who take advantage of the situation and make fake websites, so please check all the links before making an actual donation

All these fcs that people on this platform love will know or have a some form of connection to someone whether it’s a friend of a friend, even if it’s not a close relative this is trauma for the whole country, for all of its people, we are not okay, they are not okay, and you continuing to reblog and gif continuously is just rude and so insensitive. Wait a week at least.

maybe pause on giffing your fav turkish fcs and instead reblog a post about the earthquake in turkey that has impacted 10 cities and taken the lives of over 20,000 people. I understand this platform is a form of escapism but it’s disrespectful to be gifting the people who are impacted and directly on the front lines helping. if dizis have stopped you can stop giffing. this is one of the biggest disasters of the century.
