Best sibling dynamic is hands down whatever Jace and Tiffany have going on. Essentially, every time Jace tries to monologue, she crashes in through a skylight and proceeds to tell him that she is going through something incomparably worse so could he please wrap it up already and help? No notes. Absolutely perfect.

what are your thoughts on tiffany fox?

I've only read her in Batwing but I can safely say I LOVE her. She's crazy smart, so brave, adorable as hell and pretty funny too. I really like her dynamic with Luke throughout Batwing, it's so sweet and fun to read. I would have loved to see her more with Tam but, well, DC did it's thing and fridged yet another female character so 🤷🏾‍♀️

But overall, I think she's a great character with a lot of potential. I could honestly see her being an Oracle-like figure to one of the younger hero teams when she's a little older.

All in all, I adore the lil genius 💜

how do you feel about the lesser known/less used extended batcast? Like Luke Fox, Bette Kane, Harper Row etc?

I like most of them, I do, but there isn't enough of them to make me say I love them.

I do wish many of them were used more and had more stories. Bette, I can say I love her actually, is one of the character I'd absolutely would enjoy more issues of.

Harper too, I'd like to see her, Steph and Cass hanging out, know what she's doing now etc.

I don't know much about Luke, but I'd love to.

To answer your question, I'd probably say something like "I need those characters to be used more, DC gotta start using its characters instead of making them and then ignoring them", but even important members of the family like Babs and Tim don't have their solos so we'll probably never see the others around much😭

We know Duke and his dad were fans of Luke's MMA fights, so I like to imagine when they first meet Duke is genuinely excited - like Luke is a reminder of days and nights spent by Doug's side, watching T.V together in true father-son bonding fashion. I like to imagine Duke setting out to befriend Luke, so that when Doug gets healed he can show his dad he knows THE Luke Fox!! But then disaster strikes. He meets Luke, and finds him super annoying.

In my mind palace with my specific character interpretations Duke approaches Luke going 'hey, I used to watch your MMA fights' and Luke grins and goes 'omg you're a FAN?? let me sign something for you' and Duke is immediately irritated. Like no he's not a fan he's just an appreciator. And then Duke is like 'what got you into MMA fighting' and Luke is like 'to get Batman's attention' and Duke's eye twitches. Duke has very deep and personal (and philosophical) reasons for his actions, he's a very motivated person, so Luke's (perceived) blasé approach to life is not exactly his favourite. But then he thinks 'maybe he wanted Batman's attention because he deeply believes in the mission and being Batwing'. So he follows up with 'why'd you want Batman's attention' and Luke goes 'because my dad wanted me to work for Wayne Enterprises and I was not doing a 9-5 under Bruce Wayne! I would way rather work for Batman, am I right Duke?'

Duke (fully aware Bruce is Batman and who found it easy to figure out): this guy is an idiot

In the course of like 5 minutes Duke increasingly gets annoyed and Luke notices, so now Luke is also annoyed, because here's this kid who he doesn't even know judging him for god knows what!! And Luke was making his answers fun to entertain him!!! So he goes 'shouldn't you be in school' and Duke's 'treated like a child' sensors ping and now Luke is definitively in enemy territory so Duke peaces out, leaving Luke scratching his head like 'what is his problem'.

Anyway when Duke and Jace meet Jace is like 'stop hanging around me go hang out with someone like Luke' and Duke is like 'omg I can't stand that guy' and Jace is like 'wait really?? me too' and they become instant bffs.

Some head-canons of Bruce’s kids (and “kids”) and how often they call him dad:

Dick: happens at least once a month to his face but more often when he’s just talking about him, particularly when he’s annoying his little siblings.

Jason: rare and followed by an immediate cover up, will say daddy to annoy him.

Tim: calls him dad in his head but rarely says it out loud unless he’s deeply tired or too focused on something to think.

Cass: also says it in her head but will refer to him as her father to others.

Damian: obviously calls him father in most canon, but the specific wording of ‘dad’ is what we head-cannon here, so— he calls him dad when he’s scared and only when he’s scared.

Duke: hasn’t quite come around to it but thinks about it constantly, very nervous to do it for real.

Stephanie: aside from sarcasm, she will call him dad when she needs him to really act like one.

Barbara: refers to him as one of her two dads, her actual father being the other. Coined the term bat-dad first.

Luke: similar to Barbara, he is one of his two dads, but only refers to it sarcastically.

*all animals think of and refer to to Bruce as ‘big bat’ while the kids are all some form of ‘little bat’ or something similar aside from Damian. They know his name.
