Ok, let’s get this shit out of the way. This is a Jew blog (edit: I meant to say new but auto correct ya know?) so let’s just get straight to the nitty gritty. You can call me Max, I am 32 years and I reside on the skirt of Chicago. I’ve been a wrestling fan since 1999.
In 4th grade I hated wrestling, I couldn’t stand my annoying friend who was in love with Stone Cold Steve Austin and always gave me Stunners from outta nowhere like the pest he was. I couldn’t tell the difference between Goldberg and Stone Cold and I was still overly invested in Pokémon games for the original Gameboy. Then in 5th grade I got into the WWF, bought WWF War Zone for the N64 right away and got myself some WWF action figures. Then all of that shit grew and grew over time and my mental illness known as “being a wrestling fanatic” went untreated for decades to come.
My fondest moments as a wrestling fan were during my childhood. I was there live when The Rock challenged Hollywood Hulk Hogan (the night after WWF No Way Out 2002 when the nWo arrived) at the Allstate arena in Chicago. How many people can say they saw Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Kane, Mr. Perfect, Hardy Boyz, etc. live in person on the same event? Oh, it was also my first time seeing a naked woman when some crazed drunk lady stole the show during HHH vs Kurt Angle (she probably forgot it is no longer 1998 and DX was a thing of the past). It wasn’t my first wrestling show but being at that show is my top moment ever as a wrestling fan.

When I was a teenager I attended a number of AAA and CMLL shows in Xalapa, Veracruz Mexico. I remember being right in front of the ring and one lucha smashed the other with a beer bottle about 2 feet from me, it definitely wasn’t a prop. Of course I wasn’t knowledgeable of the international stars since I didn’t have internet or access to their television shows in the States.
The WWE Network is great and all but what’s up with these cheapskate smarks bitching about $10 being so much money? Now with the Peacock deal you can access everything for $5 yet those cheap bastards still go “I wouldn’t pay for that, I’ll stream the PPV’s free and watch the rest on YouTube”. I hate those free streams that are in shitty quality, buffering issues, taken down during mid-show for copyright violation, etc. I spent more than $5 or even more than $10 per month on professional wrestling VHS rentals. I rode my bike to a number of different video stores with dozens of past and present PPV’s, WWF Home Videos and Coliseum videos. Since I had two VCR’s hooked up I copied everything that I rented for myself. Essentially I had a micro-WWE Network by the time I was 12 years old. Those were the days! Today it’s all luxury and dirt cheap.
I am still a wrestling fan but I guess you can say that I am one of the folks that follows wrestling the modern way... reading results, watching highlights on YouTube and sometimes watch past events on Hulu or whatever. I’ve been catching up with the “dirt sheets” since 2002. The first website I visited 20 times daily was Wrestling Planet, then it was WrestleZone and NoDQ. For awhile I was subscribed to the PW Torch and followed ProWrestling.net but they’re very meh and behind with things. Plus I can get most of what I had to pay for with the Torch for free elsewhere. My primary wrestling news source since 2010 has been Wrestling Inc., even if some of the folks there are oddballs however the overall website is ahead of everyone else by a long shot.
So what will you get from me in exchange for your follow or whatever? You will get my opinions on shows, my opinions on wrestling headlines, merch review, etc. whether it is WWE or All Friends Wrestling aka Dixie Carter Jr Wrestling Federation. Okay, calm yo shit...you smarks love making fun of WWE but you lose it the moment people make AEW jokes lmao. No promotion is safe and in actuality I like all promotions, even Jacksonville Dixie’s fantasy fed that he built thanks to his daddy, Iron Sheik Jr.
