“I wish things were different.” – TK, 3x08 “In the Unlikely Event of an Emergency”

After making a wish in the aftermath of his mother’s death, TK wakes up in Manhattan, where he’s engaged to Alex and Gwyn is still alive. Although he remembers the life he had in Texas, no one else does. With everything turned upside down, he travels to Austin to find Carlos, because he knows that will make everything right, but when he gets there he finds that Carlos is in love with someone else. 

TK is faced with a choice: stay in this new reality with the mother he adores, or return to his real life to be with Carlos and the people who know and love him. Or is there a way for him to have the best of both realities?

I’m thinking about how Carlos says "No" to TK at the juice bar.

I'm sorry it's so dom coded, it don't think they had that aspect officially in their relationship or their sex life at this point but Carlos is showing he's up for the job here. It's such a firm and unwavering NO! He is UNPHASED, TK can whine all he wants and the answer won't change, he stands firm. I love how he doesn't give into TK's feet stomping and demands so easily, he's never been intimidated, like in the bar scene he doesn't fall over himself trying to make TK feel better and here he doesn't give into the begging. And it's almost as if he's prepared for it and expecting it? He already knows TK's games and how to handle him from the start. He looks him in the eyes too, like 'test me'

Ugh it's so sexy. Carlos is such a rock, TK never has to second guess what he's being told or where he stands which makes Carlos such a safe space for him. He loves it.
