ok manhunt 2 wii review so far. im exhausted so i only played 30 minutes. spoilers, its not good.

the controls on this version are absolutely terrible. that's the biggest issue, and what almost all my complaints thus far have to deal with. the pause button is mapped to 2, i cannot fathom why this is. why not make it plus like in most wii games? your hand will always be near the top of the remote and it's a chore to try to pause with the horrible motion controls.

speaking of which, yes, the motion controls are horrific. for whatever reason, shaking your remote is the button to attack. the problem is with this, the tiniest movement will trigger daniel to attack. this makes actually playing the game near impossible because if you don't stay perfectly still, daniel will start having a fight with the air and alert every enemy in the area. i imagine this gets less frustrating later on in the game where it essentially just becomes a third person shooter, but god does it make the first part near unplayable.

the censorship is also way worse than i thought. very basic weapons were removed, i foumd this out because the pens are nowhere to be found. also, there's way more filters on the wii version than the playstation versions, you can't see a single thing.

as for the positives, it's still manhunt 2. obviously it's an enjoyable game under all the wii jank, and it's the same game at it's core. the motion controlled executions are somebow extremely fun and satisfying to pull off despite the censorship, they aren't nearly as unresponsive as you'd think. the executions feel way more fun to perform with a wii remote than a mouuse somehow. also, some of the audio actually comes out through the wiimote, including menu sounds and execution audio. it's super charming and i love it

will i keep playing this game? yes! i'm playing this so the manhunt folks following me never have to 👍🏼 my final note for now is that it seems like a fun game to play with friends, so maybe i should invite friends over to watch me play. idk. okay goodnight im exhausted rn

no its actually so cool that ive consistently only been able to sleep for up to 7 hours. that definitely doesnt piss me off at all. thats totally amazing im definitely not exhausted literally every single fucking day because of it

isaac the only game where you can have 10 of the most generational runs of your life and than literally 5 minutes later have one run thats so bad that you becime a nihilist and try blowing your head off with a shotgun

for context the lost and tainted lost are 2 of the hardest characters in the game because they both dont have hp. if you progress enough you can get a one hit failsafe, but normally if you are hit you just die 😭 judas only has one heart at the start but you CAN and most likely will increase his hp at somepoint in your run

max logic is i can beat isaac, bb, satan, and tl with the lost but i die at the basement with judas Ok seems legit
