when you’re in bed with them, lying underneath as they shakily hold themselves up on top of you… whatever’s been festering inside during their workday, finally allowed to come out to play tonight… you hear obvious crackles of phlegm catch with each irregular hitch… and as if they heard it too, they hold one last look with you between squinted, watery eyes as if to say “you asked for it…” before their expression morphs to utter helplessness.

In your final moments, as if there were any way you could delude yourself about it, you think to yourself anyway;

“yeah.. I am definitely catching their cold…”

There is now nothing standing between you and their sickness as they completely lose themselves to their fit

someone snniffling and snorting all day to try and keep their runny nose in check. the sound is getting thicker and thicker sounding, almost soupy until their nose is utterly full and it finally demands compensation. the sneeze that happens is the messiest thing ever, its everywhere and the its not just one sneeze so their nose is forcing all the snot out with desperation

Three Tinies trying to hold off a Giant's sneeze:

Numbers one and two are respectively leaning against a nostril with their whole body weight, trying to keep those fluttering nares from widening with every shaky sniffle.

Number three comes at it from below, pressing their back and shoulders up under the nose as if to use their whole upper body as the finger that might delay the disaster

But the three of them cant quite get coordinated, and the Giant starts to hitch...

Someone using another person’s very powerful sneeze as a weapon or threat, especially in a fantasy setting.

A person standing behind someone, holding them tightly with a finger under their nose, threatening to remove it if someone makes a wrong move.

Someone motioning to one of their henchman/goons, and they start to induce themselves in order to attack with their sneeze.

Bringing someone to the brink of release before turning them towards a group of enemies to blow them away in one fell swoop.

thinking about laying on someone's chest, tracing my fingertip gently around their nostrils, watching them flare and wriggle from the tickle being created by my touch. their nose is just THAT sensitive. it doesn't take long for their chest to start rising and falling, their nostrils to start flaring bigger, and their eyes to start fluttering; soon enough they are sneezing, big wet sneezes that spray directly in my face, one after another, after another. once they've finished, and have left my face thoroughly drenched in sneezy spray, they apologize repeatedly, their cheeks flushing as red as their drippy sniffly nose.

Crooked or damaged noses, maybe even with a bump or a scar that never healed right!

Maybe touching the spot is super sensitive! Maybe they're more prone to longer sneezing fits, or are just more sensitive in general! Or it could go the opposite way where they constantly have trouble getting the sneeze out and it's stuck all the time, so their passageways are all screwy and the allergen is so stuck and it's so hard to get out!

we love a big nose. but what about a warm nose? Someone's nose so red and tender with heat, you could detect a fever by pinching their nostrils?

"I think I'm sick" said with an almost prophetic level of certainty, the think might as well not be there.

The phrase is uttered in a slightly nasal voice due to congestion and pressure that's building right in the back of the sinuses, that same nasal voice is also slightly husky or strained at the edges due to a scratchy throat that could almost be mistaken for a fluke.

The phrase is said after a random and out-of-character series of statements, sentences that trailed off multiple times without warning, conversations that continued to stray from their focal topic even as they struggle to stay focused.

They're struggling to stay coherent and awake, confused as to why they're acting so strangely, why they sound just slightly different, why everything feels out of whack as they interrupt their previous point about breakfast cereal to talk about birds, only to press their palm against their face in frustration, sleepily rubbing at an eye as they announce their groggy revelation to their confused friends.

Watery eyes as a symptom of illness is such an underrated concept. Imagine…

Someone’s pink, swollen eyes watering when they have a bad cold and just cannot stop sneezing. Tears threaten to spill from their red-rimmed eyes, trickling down their cheeks and causing more congestion and discomfort, which only induces more sneezes…and the cycle repeats…

Watery, glazed over eyes, with a wet, glossy quality that just screams fever. Maybe this is the thing that signifies to others that whumpee is running a temp, because the shivers could be excused by the shitty heating, and the pale complexion could simply be from exhaustion, but that glazed, watery, weird look in their eyes points to one thing and one thing only.
