Custom Aequis for @wilyzombie finally finished and scanned! This handsome hybrid is mostly tropical terrestrial type in form, but with a luxurious thick ruff of throat feathers that shows their temperate arboreal ancestry. The feathers shimmer with iridescence, reflecting deep sky blues and fiery coppers and golds, colors shifting in the light. Despite their feathery splendor, they are an accomplished hunter, weaving effortlessly through trees and foliage, on either wing or foot.

Scary Space: New Halloween Poster Treats from NASA
Halloween is just around the corner. Need some chilling décor? We’ve got you – and your walls – covered with three new Galaxy of Horrors posters that showcase some of the most terrifying topics in the universe.
Gamma Ray Ghouls

In the depths of the universe, the cores of two collapsed stars violently merge to release a burst of the deadliest and most powerful form of light, known as gamma rays. These beams of doom are unleashed upon their unfortunate surroundings, shining a billion trillion times brighter than the Sun for up to 30 terrifying seconds. No spaceship will shield you from their blinding destruction!
Galactic Graveyard

The chillingly haunted galaxy called MACS 2129-1 mysteriously stopped making stars only a few billion years after the Big Bang. It became a cosmic cemetery, illuminated by the red glow of decaying stars. Dare to enter and you might encounter the frightening corpses of exoplanets or the final death throes of once-mighty stars.
Dark Matter

Something strange and mysterious creeps throughout the cosmos. Scientists call it dark matter. It is scattered in an intricate web that forms the skeleton of our universe. Dark matter is invisible, only revealing its presence by pushing and pulling on objects we can see. NASA’s Roman Space Telescope will investigate its secrets. What will it find?

@leoshix well in that case! This is how I layout my combat encounters which is relatively lowkey but I am also pretty crazy about wanting things to be organized and tight.
The screenshot above says ‘Room Description’ for the campaign I’m using this template on but treat that as the general area of the encounter. What’s the environment and where are enemies hiding, what type of barriers are there, etc. I mainly play in theatre of the mind so this helps me map stuff out a little bit!
Then creature description is what do the enemies look and how are they behaving. Then I add what I call Combat Calls there as well which is a lot of the hypotheticals. Like, will the enemy notice the party first or will the party notice them? Etc.
Then below is a space for the name of each enemy in the encounter and quick info such as prerolled intiative, hp, ac, speed, and then the last block is for copying the stats that are going to be necessary for combat! I just copypaste over from 5etools but the copypasting makes it so I can tweak and add some homebrew traits if I want! I also usually link to the 5etools version in case i need their stats or anything else.
This sort of set up works really well for encounters that are straightforward and focused on combat as well as for less complicated enemies in my opinion. For NPCS and more complex statblocks I use a different template but for most encounters this works well!

Oath of the Sea - Uh wait I’m not good at talking. Hey everyone this is my first homebrew that I’m posting. I thought up an OC that was a paladin for like a pirate/nautical campaign but none of the existing subclasses fit and I couldn’t find a homebrew subclass I liked so I made my own!
Gotta give a big shoutout to @homebrewlesbian for taking my idea and formatting it into this beautiful page for me! Thanks so much for your help :D
