i feel like i must have talked about this before but the constant exclusion of mages from being innocent people ("mages, templars, and the innocents caught between them/too many innocent lives have been lost because of the fighting between the mages and the templars.") is so. genuinely infuriating now that im playing dai again.

also between us. i can see why alistair is the only one who can married in game during dao. what i dont get is why only sera and cullen can get married in game bc i do feel like some of the other romance options (namely, if you ask me, blackwall and josie and cassandra if she's not divine) could have potential to tie the knot? idk its not a big thing and maybe i have a terrible read on those three characters and whatever but every time i think on how only cullen and sera can get married im like im gonna need an explanation on these two, surely theres other romance options who'd be down to tie the knot right

Been thinking more about my Redroot!Ch3, so here's my dark world Rudy design! I chose a toy soldier style for his look for multiple reasons:

Toy soldiers are obviously heavily associated with Christmas! They're quite kitsch and nostalgic too, which makes sense for him.

He's a "trooper" in the sense that he's battling a tough illness but still keeping a smile and positive outlook for his family

He's heavily associated with Asgore (a king), and so it's kinda similar to their Santa and Rudolph dynamic

He's very protective of his family, especially his daughters and would throw himself in harm's way for them

He look nice

BioWare went through this awful gauntlet ten years ago. Not that they are fully free of sin with Krem of course, considering they got Jennifer Hale to voice him + weird ass questions you can ask him + some companion comments on him (didn't Sera have a particularly rancid one?).

With Taash it felt like someone fought a lot to get them as right as they could.

a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... At the same time though you have a little Saul Goodman in your ear going "your honor in their defense: who cares like omfgggg who caresssssss like come onnnnnn"
