Since it's been a hot minute, I will say that I'm not that happy about Yuri's tweet about "begging" for his role as Yosuke back not really because I can't sympathize with him and his love for the character but because I fear for the next voice actors who will fill in these roles that already guarantee people would hate them regardless and now people are also going to start saying that these people "stole" these roles from the old VAs too.
They're already doomed to be hated by a good section of the fanbase for the sheer virtue of being hired by the company who didn't call back the previous talent, but now people would also put Yuri in the front of their mind as a way to hate on them because "how dare they steal yosuke from him! he's begging on his knees!!"
I've even already seen at least one person making a conspiracy theory that it's because Yuri and the other VAs are part of a union and that atlus would "surely hire non-union scabs" or whatever when we don't even know who the voice cast is yet.
