I was thinking about the make up of different story narratives while I was getting ready for work, as one does, and I was thinking about Sherlock because, somehow, even though it's been YEARS, I am always thinking about Sherlock or only one randomly connected thought away from thinking about Sherlock and this morning I thought this:

Even though the stories/show are called Sherlock and even though they're always ABOUT Sherlock, the main character is always John. He's the one telling the story, we're meant to see things through his lense (almost exclusively) and we're meant to emotionally identify and sympathize with John.

Which, I mean, is not a new thought process at all.

BUT THEN... that thought process lead me to this one where I'm like,

"You know...it's really no different then the stories we have now where the average ordinary guy who thinks (and largely is) nothing special tells the story about the quirky weird girl who changes his life and even though he's the one telling the story, it's really all about - oh my god!"

And that's the story of how I discovered that Sherlock Holmes is a manic pixie dream girl.

Possibly the first manic pixie dream girl.

I...I don't know what to do with this information.

In all fairness, I have nothing against the manic pixie dream girl. I actually like those kinds of stories.

I was just not prepared for Sherlock Holmes to be one.

Can I honest?

I loved Creddie in the OG iCarly and I still love it in the revival. And I will be a little sad if they don't end up together as adults but honestly...

I'll be more disappointed if we end up with Freddie pining for Carly again and her not feeling the same way. Even if eventually she does.

We got Freddie who is in love with Carly and she doesn't feel the same. And adult Freddie deserves better than to go through that again. Especially considering all the Ls he's been taking this season.

I'd rather have no Creddie at all (I mean, I actually like Wes and I kind of appreciated his "hey we're stranded in the woods on a remote island so let's make sure we don't die" thing, even if he did go overboard at times), then watch Freddie revert right back to where he was at the start of the original show.

Maybe that's just me.

Okay hear me out...

I've been binge watching original iCarly because of the reboot and I watched iGo to Japan a few days ago, and I've come to conclusion that I need the reboot to send them to Japan again and for adult Carly and Freddie to get mistaken for being on their honeymoon by the hotel receptionist again.

Not even for anything romantic (although I am ride or die Creddie so I would be a-ok if that also happened)

But because I need them to use that trend that's being going around on Tik Tok where it's the bad guy from Phineas and Ferb (I think he's the bad guy??? I've honestly never seen the show but he seems like the nemesis of the platypus anyways-) where he's like :

"If I had a nickel for every time -insert weird circumstance-, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?"

So I know most people are really invested in the relationships of the core 4, which is cool and I totally get it, is anyone else interested in watching Jughead's relationship with Tabitha Tate unfold??

I hope they explore that. I think it has a lot of potential, either friendly or romantic and I want to see more of it.
