The Philippines is an amazing place full of natural wonders and sceneries, that's why it's no surprise that lots of tourists visit the country. But aside from that, there are also Filipino tradition and culture that makes the tourists and the locals come back. One of the most valued cultures of Filipinos is the Festivals or Fiesta. These are unique in every province and it is celebrated every year.       Fiestas are vibrant, big shows accompanied by music and cheering, and each has its cultural history. It is the way of reminiscing historical events or moments and celebrating them full of joy. It is the kind of celebration with loads of food in every street, and people that would welcome anyone with open arms. Filipino themselves, along with the beautiful places and culture makes it more fun in the Philippines.
Here are some of the festivals that should be included in your must-visit festivities: Sinulog Festival – One of the religious festivals in the Philippines. It is a weeklong celebration in Cebu every January for the Cebu's Patron Saint - Santo Niño. Ati-Atihan Festival – Is also a religious festive dance and is celebrated every year in January to honor Santo Niño like the Sinulog festival. Ati-atihan means to be like Atis or Aetas. This festival is conducted in Kalibo, Aklan, where they mimic Aeta's dark skin color and do traditional street dancing by the rhythmic beating of drums. Dinagyang Festival – Just like the Sinulog and Ati-Atihan Festival, Dinagyang is also a religious festival dedicated to Santo Niño and to commemorate the pact between the Datus and locals. Dinagyang Festival is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of January in Iloilo City. Pahiyas Festival – One of the most colorful Philippines festivals held in Lucban, Quezon, and is celebrated every 15th of May to give tribute to San Isidro Labrador- the patron saint of farmers. Panagbenga Festival – The popular Flower Festival in the Philippines is held in Baguio City. It is a month-long festival and has a parade that features grand floats designed with flowers. Kadayawan Festival – The fiesta in the Philippines is celebrated in Davao City every 3rd week of  August. It is a thanksgiving festival and tribute to indigenous people.
