tbh i don't understand why no longer teaching cursive would even occur to anyone because i've tested it pretty extensively and you can definitely write a good bit faster in cursive and retain better legibility when writing fast too. it's not like it's a huge unit or extremely challenging either. just a flat out upgrade to writing skills. most adult handwritings i see use a mix of at least 50% cursive letters. out of all the things to axe from the curriculum??
