Eleven year-old Alaa lost her 7-months pregnant mother along with her brother and another eight members of her family in a recent Israeli attack on Gaza. Alaa was injured and transfered to a hospital in Jerusalem. After recovering, she came back to Gaza. On Mother’s Day, she visited her mother’s grave with some flowers and a letter reading: “Mom, this is for you.” الطفلة آلاء أبو زيد من رفح جنوب قطاع غزة تقضي عيد الأم عند قبر والدتها وأشقائها الشهداء التسعة الذين ارتقوا خلال حرب غزة 2014
