Oh, stop it! You absolutely deserve all the praise, you've achieved so much already at such a young age and your talent shines brighter every day. I don’t know if I’ve earned that title yet but it always feels so damn good to hear, so thank you for that ego boost. I do have to say that Halle has definitely without a doubt inspired a lot of what I have been writing, and I am just in a way different mindset these days. Because I’m stuck here filming for a bit, and as much as I love our FaceTime calls, they’re just not cutting it. I need the real you, in all your charming, demon-fearing glory. So, what do you say? mel: all of the above 😝 especially a dramatic airport reunion scene, i’m a sucker for those. and yes, i fully expect you to be there waiting to greet me with a giant ‘welcome to london’ poster or i’ll be solely disappointed. you better get to work, olsen. i’ve got a few weeks left of filming in vancouver but since you asked so nicely, i should be able to manage sneaking away over the weekend. been awhile since i’ve been over that way and i might miss you a little bit. just a teeny tiny bit.

You’re too sweet to me, Allen. And it’s been going well, we’ve only got a few more weeks left before wrapping now, which seems crazy when it feels like we just started filming a few days ago. Though, I’ll be happy to go back home and chill with my pups for a bit. Been feeling extra homesick lately. The views were absolutely a highlight, I couldn’t agree more. It truly is such a special place with lots of fun things to do and beautiful sights to take in. Already missing watching the sunset on the beach. Now it’s your turn to fill me in, what have you been up to since getting back from the trip? You keeping busy?

You know I always got time for you, MB. How has that filming been going? Are you back to it now that we're done with the trip? It was really fun, and I actually hadn't been to Australia very many times. I can't even remember the last time I was there before this trip. I think just hanging out with good company, and seeing the views. That was definitely my favorite part. The beach is a good answer though, and they had some amazing beaches. Can't really find those many places, right?

oli: working with angela is one of the best things i have every done. the best part is she doesn't even kind like she is the angela bassett, she's the best. she helped me with my dancing to impress karlie oli: yes i would suggest to keep the tissue with you, you get attached to the characters really fast and lets just say shit gets real fast. as much as i would love to say no, yes i do. it's another great guilty pleasure tv mel: oh my god, i love that. it must be a dream come true to have someone like her in your corner. and i bet she’s the best dance teacher you could ask for, i recently saw her spirit tunnel from the jhud show and her energy is just electric. tell me, were you able to sweep her off her feet with your newly learned dance moves? i need updates. mel: now i'm horrified! on a scale from the walking dead to sons of anarchy, how traumatizing is it? 😅

The scream queen? Ma'am, I need you to take a look in the mirror! That's all you. I mean, seriously... It Follows, Longlegs, Watcher, The Guest, Significant Other, Villains, should I keep going, or...? Your filmography is truly unmatched, there's no denying your legacy and impact on the horror genre. The real question is, when are we teaming up in a horror project together? Not to sound too dramatic, but I need that to happen more than I need air to breathe. And I've been great! Currently working on a show in Vancouver. What’s next on the agenda for you, you absolute badass? Any exciting projects on the horizon that I should be on the lookout for?

Allow me to bow down to the scream queen herself. I mean taking on Ghostface? A vampire ballerina? That alone there just proves it. Conversation over. It would be so cool to work together though, wouldn't it? Feel like we have been doing the same kind of projects lately, so teaming up with you would be a dream come true. I could have used your help with a weird serial killer, and maybe I could have helped with that ballerina. Although in reality, I would have probably just wanted to say how cool she was. So, not much help. How have you been though? Working on anything?

I will only refer to you as ‘Two-time Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter’ from now on, you certainly deserve it. You’ve been out here killing the game and constantly outdoing yourself, what an inspiration you are. And I loved seeing you and Jenna during the trip, my two favorite tiny gals. Very much-needed for my well being. Though, it didn’t seem like we got enough time together so we’ll have to get together again sometime soon. You’re headed back out on the road, right? Maybe I can sneak away from set and try to catch a show.

leigh: truly. she's the whole package and the talent is crazy. who else is even on her level? like please, nobody is touching her. not a single bad song. leigh: it's a newer one, you should definitely check it out. she just released a new ep that is chef's kiss. love me some jojo. hmm i'll get back to you on some other recs. i been in a loop of listening to the same few albums for a bit 😂 do you have a favorite genre or artist? it really is, there's a song for nearly everything. connecting to a song that embodies how we feel in any certain situation or moment. it's a lovely reminder that even if it may feel like it you're not alone in whatever feeling it is. somebody somewhere out there will relate in some way. leigh: oh yeah, always. i was the kid putting on a full on show for my family in the living room and forcing them to listen and watch. i told everyone who would listen that i was gonna be a singer. good thing it worked out 'cause i really didn't have any back up plan lol. mel: her vibes, personality, lyricism, resilience, flow...real hot girl shit 🔥 she’s unstoppable in every way and rooting for her is so easy. mel: looking back and realizing how young jojo was when her first album dropped is absolutely insane. like, what do you mean she was singing like THAT at only thirteen years old? the talent is undeniable. and i like a little bit of everything, i’m not too picky. but most recently, i’ve been obsessing over doechii and raye. and that obsession skyrocketed after seeing their grammy performances, like, holy smokes. all the heart eyes. who are some of your current favorites to listen to? and i couldn't agree more, music truly has a way of connecting with our hearts. it's an incredible thing when a song feels like it’s speaking directly to you. mel: i love that! funnily enough, i wanted to be a pop star before ever wanting to be an actor. i would see kids on these reality competition shows that would then get cast in child telenovelas and then they would do musical telenovelas. i was like, ‘oh my god, that’s what i want to do!’ 😂 you've crossed over into the acting world too, right? how did you enjoy that?

I'm glad you agree. fingers crossed you get to go on this well deserved vacation. mel: jennifer coolidge is an absolute legend. still holding out hope tanya is somehow alive and comes back for vengeance in season three. i actually haven't gotten around to watching the fallout yet, can you believe that? i need to fix this. but uncle baby billy, oh my god, he's everything to me. just two little country kids outside misbehavinnnn. the righteous gemstones doesn't get enough love, right? such an underrated gem. everything danny mcbride touches is gold. did you ever watch vice principals? and yess, the trip to australia was a godsend but i still need my bali fix. i gotta make it happen.

Dating Me Is Like…a road trip. unexpected detours, great playlists, and memorable adventures. I Want Someone Who…likes a little adventure, likes to be spontaneous, isn't afraid to get dirty every now and again, and loves weekends in bed. A Shower Thought I Recently Had…do fish ever get bored of swimming, or is it just vibes forever? Look at you making all of my inner broadway nerd dreams come true! I simply adore you. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better roomie. I had an absolute blast! Though, it went by entirely too fast and my heart is aching that I had to leave you. Would’ve loved expanding my stay a few extra days but unfortunately I’m due back on set. And I bet you’re back to slaying award season, right? Quite the busy lady these days, but I’m glad you were able to at least take a week off to unwind and recharge. How did you enjoy the rest of the trip?

Oh, my goodness, the universe heard us and answered us! This has been the best news of my week, and I will gladly sing a little tune with you sober or drunk. You know this. Are you having fun so far? Splitting off from you in the mornings is tough, especially because I'm so not used to sleeping in and to be all 'go go go'. I know, what a horrible life to get the opportunity for some extra sleep, right?

It’s always good seeing you and catching up with you, MVP. Meant the world that you were able to spare some time for little ol’ me. It was great! I hadn’t been down that way since I filmed Carmen, so it was cool to actually get out and do some exploring. There’s so many things to do and hidden gems. Though, is it boring to say my favorite part was just hanging out on the beach? Toes in the sand, sound of the waves, breathing the fresh ocean air. There’s just nothing like it. The beach will always be my happy place. And how was the trip for you, hm? Any highlights?
