Something that an only just realised about The Last Jedi.
When Rey and Kylo touched Luke could see Kylo. He couldn’t see him the first time they connected. Was this because Luke was disconnected from the Force the first time. Or was it because Rey had pulled Kylo more fully into her reality.
If it was because only someone strongly connected to The Force could see Kylo’s “projection” there were so many fun things they could have done with this. Conveniently Rey and Kylo never fight when anyone else is around to view them.
Except there must have been other soldiers near Kylo when he fought Rey in his quarters while he was on the planet.
What did they see what did it look like to them?
Was what Luke did projecting himself to the moon to fight Kylo different?
Someone smart must have answered this already.

Okay I was not expecting much from another fan version of what Star Wars sequel should have been. But I’m a sucker so I watched.
Now I do wish this had been the first movie of the sequels, with a couple of minor tweaks. So much better than the comparative trash we got, and I generally enjoy the sequels.

65 was great!!! It was so much fun! I love sci-fi and to have that mixed with dinosaurs, a kid and reluctant father figure, and starring Adam Driver. I'm all in!
A few spoilers below:
I was so sure multiple times that Mills was gonna die. Like, that's how these stories go right? The father figure gives his life to save the kid. And I was bracing myself for that... But Koa was like NOPE I'm not leaving without you. And saved him using a dinosaur tooth she'd covered in the poisonous berries. She was a terrified kid who needed to constantly be saved, but then she went and saved him. I just loved that.
They somehow managed to get off the planet like a minute before the asteroid hit in an escape pod that was severely damaged. You had to suspend your disbelief quite a bit, but the story worked emotionally for me so I didn't care. It was a hopeful ending and neither of them died. That's a win in my book.
Mills lost his daughter. Koa lost her parents. They're each others family now 😭
The emotional beats in this movie worked so well. Mostly thanks to Adam and Ariana's chemistry.
Also when she put the flower in his hair 🥺
Anyway, don't listen to the bad reviews. The movie wasn't groundbreaking or anything, but it was fun and heartwarming. And sometimes that's enough.

Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde.
We are one when together,
we are one when parted,
we will share all,
we will raise warriors.
Every time I read this I remember how fucking romantic the Mandalorian wedding vow is.
