Zhang Yixing (Lay) - INFP 'Idealist'

Zhang Yixing is an idealist who is loyal and faithful to people who are important to him. He wants life to be based on his values. Lay understand people and help them make full use of their potential. He is adaptable, flexible, tolerant and also very romantic person who loves art and has a perfect imagination.

Introverted Feeling (Fi):

Yixing relies heavily on his emotions. He is sensitive and creative. He understands himself as well as the others. Even if it is not needed he try to help EXO members as much as possible. 

He creates music and compose it. He also has a great need to understand and develop himself/his feeling. If something is going through, it is very deep. He puts all his heart into it without forgetting about his family and members (exo).

 Also his fans are very important to him, he never forget about them, always mentioning that he love them. He accept letters from the fans and treat them as the greatest treasure. Yixing often sincerely demonstrates his emotions in interviews, concerts or fan meetings.

He want to be known, appreciated and seen as a true “Yixing”. His music is composed and arranged only by him (lyrics too).

Extroverted Intuition (Ne):

As mentioned before, Yixing creates his own music and is absorbed by it. Lay is often very excited when he talks about his dance or music. He is visionary and dreamer. He puts his whole self into creating new things. Working on them makes him happy. Yixing has many ideas, team members often say that they see him composing and creating new things. They can’t stop him. He is passionate about what he does. During interviews he has a specific character of speech, (sometimes interviewer does not understand him) he has extensive associations, and uses metaphors.

Introverted Sensing (Si):

“What are you most afraid of? ZY: Afraid and also worried, about my family health, being separated from my loved ones in life or death, there’s nothing greater than these”

Tradition, family, friends – all of this is very important to him. Yixing mentioned family holidays. (Lately he really wished he could meet them). These values are very important to him. He often cry out for his family.

Extroverted Thinking (Te):

As the last, weakest function - Te reveals he is very honest and speaks out loud about his plans for the future. Lay talks during interviews a lot. He’s not afraid to express his thoughts.

I have long wanted to post about them, but I was not sure about their types. I’m still not sure (especially when it comes to Dahyun and Jeongyeon), but I can try.

I'm so bad at typing myself and the last conclusion I had was "I think I might be an ESFJ, maybe... 95% ?" .. so i watched swdbs and was like "omg.. bong soon is so me? like i could relate to her a lot and if I was in her situations I'd do the same..blabla.. so when i looked up her mbti type and read that she might be an ESFJ, I was like "omg finally.. after a year I finally know my mbti type" lol it was so hard to type myself, thank you!

Exo Mbti Part 4: Baekhyun ESTP

Almost everyone assumes that Baekhyun is an ESFP, but, again, this is wrong. Like I mentioned in all my previous posts, the main reason for this mistake is the fact that ESFPs and ESTPs share their dominant function, which is Se. Baekhyun is definitely extroverted, loves attention, and he’s charming, but unlike ESFPs, his emotions can be explosive and he can be angry and even inconsiderate very suddenly and unexpectedly.

ESFPs have Fi as their auxiliary function. This means they tend to have a greater desire for harmony and want to avoid conflict if at all possible. I used to be friends with someone who’s an ESFP. She had a tendency to laugh off things that she actually felt deeply about or would try to conceal the true depth of her own feelings. ESTPs have Fe as their tertiary function. This means they have less control over their emotions, so when they are expressed–especially since it’s extroverted feeling–they aren’t well controlled. I know an ESTP, and he can be very funny, charming, and fun to be around. However, there are times when I say something and he’ll suddenly get extremely angry and say something extremely hurtful and insensitive, then move on as if he did nothing wrong. Of course, this doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy, and it doesn’t mean Baekhyun’s a bad guy. It’s just a defense mechanism.

It’s clear that Baekhyun does this same thing. For example, there’s a video of Suho getting hit in the face by a fan when him and Baekhyun are walking into the SM building. Baekhyun realizes what happens, turns around, and walks in a somewhat threatening manner toward the fan. He let his anger get the best of him for second, but he understood that he needed to let it go and he walked away.He said himself when he guest starred on the show “Roommate” that he used to have a very short fuse. He said that he used to get angry more often, but he has matured and has a better control of his temper.

All of this confirms that he is not an ESFP, who would never burst out angrily like because they have better control over their feelings and have a stronger desire to avoid conflict. Therefore, Baekhyun is and ESTP.

P.S. I want to make sure no one thinks ESTPs are super unpleasant and angry people. Again, I know an ESTP and he’s really a nice guy, and we all know Baekhyun is awesome. I just wanted to point out how ESFPs and ESTPs differ significantly, and that happens to mainly be through their tempers and conflict.
