☀️Morning☀️[Yamada Ichiro]☀️
You really hated working the overnight shift sometimes.
Coming home to a quiet house at the crack of dawn just felt unnatural, used to hearing your boyfriends two youngest brothers arguing the minute you walked through the door while said boyfriend greeted you with an apologetic smile before telling them to cut it out. He might think it’s more peaceful for you after work to not hear endless bickering but as odd as it was to say, you enjoyed the signs of life in the house even if they were loud and a little grating. You’d lived alone for so long that finally moving in with Ichiro meant you also had a family again, something you’d craved for so long and feared you’d never have.
“Mornin’.” You nearly jumped out of your skin as a sleepy Ichiro greeted you in the kitchen, baggy sweatpants hugging his perfect hips, his v-line out for you to admire since he’d forgone a shirt. Now that was a sight you loved to come home to even if the house was quiet, feeling him up teasingly and laughing as he swatted your hand away with a lazy smile. “Come on… Too early for all of that.”
“Shoulda but a shirt on then…” You winked at him but couldn’t say you weren’t completely exhausted yourself, resting your head on his chest and letting out a happy sigh as he held you against him, “But are you up for good?”
“I had some work I wanted to get a head start on. What’s up?”
“…I wanted to cuddle for a bit. Until I’m asleep?”
“That can be arranged.” You damn well knew Ichiro would never reject a cuddling session and he followed you up the stairs, playfully pinching your butt in response to your groping earlier; you tried to stifle your giggles with your hand to not wake up the youngest two, knowing they’d only get annoyed that they were awoken from the two of you being an annoyingly cute couple.
Ichiro settled himself into bed, laying on his side and watching as you stripped out of your work clothes, seeking out the comfiest pajamas you had as you planned on sleeping in. Having three days off in a row felt like a godsend and though you regretted picking up the night shift, you at least go to admire your boyfriend’s face in the rising morning sun. It’s finally time for the best part of the day, snuggling up against Ichiro’s chest and absorbing his warmth for your own, head resting on his chest so you could listen to the steady beating of his heart.
You couldn’t be happier to have left your lonely apartment behind.
“You sure you won’t fall back asleep? You always complain that I’m too comfortable.”
“Mmm, I can handle it…” He mumbled, already on the verge of passing out again, “Go to bed, babe.”
“Gladly.”
Falling asleep in your lover’s arms, knowing your little family would be awaiting you when your eyes finally opened, made you feel happier than you’d ever felt before.

Ichiro Fluff / Date Scenario + Headcanons
For a date, he’s always wanted to invite you over to binge watch anime together while snuggling- of course, if you weren’t as invested as he was, he’d instead like to show you an episode or two of his favorite and see what you think.
He would also be cooking dinner if that happened, which you can enjoy with all the brothers. Beforehand, he would try to be sneaky about asking what kinds of foods you liked, so he could come up with the perfect recipe for date night.
If going out, he’d definitely try to come up with something both of you would enjoy. Also, I feel like he’s big on domestic stuff- simply going with him to the grocery store, driving around, spending time around eachother etc. is just as meaningful to him as a fancy dinner. He has a busy life, but he truly appreciates you spending time with him.
If you do prefer big events and stuff, he would do his best to save enough so he gets to spoil you like you deserve. However, if you’re also simple like him, he appreciates that a lot- no wonder you both click together well!
It’s Ichiro so it has to be said- Con dates. He’s always wanted to date someone he can cosplay with, but if not, that’s okay- you two have fun anyways, and you get to hear his cute fanboying and surprise him with merch when he’s not looking.
Now for the actual date!
Ichiro invites you over confidently, as he’s been practicing in his head a few times- though you can tell he’s a little nervous (which you find sweet). Of course, you accept, and he’s overjoyed.
He had prepared a delicious dinner, and nervously yet excitedly watched your reaction to trying it. Of course, you love him and his cooking. Despite him and the brothers’ protests, you still help them clean up and do the dishes.
Saburo and Jiro promised to be on their best behavior, knowing how much you mean to their big brother, but end up bickering a little. Luckily for you, you knew how to handle the situation quickly, getting everyone to play a game together. Ichiro is impressed by your skills, not everyone can make his brothers stop fighting… even if its temporary.
Now, on the couch and cuddling eachother, you and Ichiro start watching some anime. He’s been so excited to start this with you, and you can see it in his eyes. After the episode (throughout, even) he’s been in complete fanboy mode, ready to discuss theories and favorite parts and characters and everything. Again, even if you weren’t as invested as him, you still liked hearing him gush about his favorite hobby. And if you were, well, you two have an amazing night just being yourselves without judgment!
