The deadline for writing is 30th September! Authors can submit their work any time up until that date. 

They’ll be uploaded onto ao3 by each author - and added to the Big Bang 2020 collection (the link to which will be posted soon!)

Can I change my submission after I’ve submitted it?

As long as it is pre-deadline - sure!!! 

However, if you’ve already submitted, and you want to change the idea you’ve drawn - feel free to submit another set of art! The more the merrier :D

can I ask when the list of participants will be up? I'm so excited to see who all is playing this year!

The list of participants will be up after art claiming has closed - so within the first week of July!

just basing this question off the previous ask, does this mean emails have gone out to authors as well? i was pretty sure i signed up but i also don’t want to be jumping the gun and getting worried in case they haven’t gone out yet! super excited for this btw!!

It’s Big Bang time, and this year, we’re doing things a little differently!

Instead of taking the format of a conventional Big Bang, like we have in the past, the BB20 will be in the style of a reverse bang.

This means that the artists will go first! - We’re asking all artists who sign up to create two pieces of art, representing two scenes in a fanfiction. These scenes could be as detailed and specific or as vague and open as you’d like.

Afterwards, authors will be able to choose their artist to write a fic based on. This will be done on a first come, first served basis. 

The scenes will simply be a snapshot of an event that could happen in the fic, whether in real time, or a flashback thought! This way, you can be as creative as you feel.

Sign ups for both artists and authors are open NOW and will be open until 16th JUNE, but artists can start to draw whenever, and we’ll collect your lovely pieces for the authors to choose from :D. The sign up form will be linked as a reblog, as well as being in our bio. 

The deadline for art to be submitted is 30TH JUNE. As soon as we have reached this date, we will make a temporary masterpost containing all the art - numbered so authors can choose. This period will last for A WEEK. Then, the deadline for fics will be 30TH SEPTEMBER.

We also have an INSTAGRAM! We’ll be following as many artists as we can, reaching out to the community there, and with the artist’s permission, posting the art once done! You can follow us @mclennonbigbang
