JOURNAL ENTRY #XX3   /   ERIEN MIN CLASSIFICATION   /   INTER-DIMENSIONAL BEING

𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑰𝑵

                    the mirror dimension is somewhat of a mystery, though the general consensus is that it has always existed for as long as our world has existed, and thus erien min is similar to a regular human in that they were born into a very established world. they are a guide of the mirror dimension, a dimension that holds the knowledge of everything and everyone imaginable in it, and they claim that their father is the world’s gatekeeper.

𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑪𝑬

                    erien has dark hair and pale skin. they appear somewhat translucent or even shiny at times, though this could be attributed to how they can only show themselves via a mirror. they also tend to dress smartly and elegantly, not a wrinkle in their vest.

𝑩𝑬𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑰𝑶𝑼𝑹

                    erien min is helpful to a fault. summoning them is rather easy, and they answer without fail unless there is an emergency in the mirror dimension. they are at their most confident when answering questions and imparting information, but they rarely have an opinion of their own. they are quick to go with what everyone else wants, treating themselves as more of an encyclopedia than a human being. perhaps they aren’t a human being. inter-dimensional beings are difficult to classify, as they aren’t usually considered human, but erien seems ‘human enough’.

                    what they do when not summoned to the mirror is beyond me, as i have not been in the mirror dimension, and they are very particular about letting people inside. considering the amount of knowledge contained there, it’s understandable. that said, they will make themselves known without being summoned from time to time, possibly due to loneliness. it is currently unknown how they act when they can’t be seen. when in the presence of those from our world, they are kind and compliant.

𝑴𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑨𝑵𝑬𝑶𝑼𝑺 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬𝑺

it is unknown whether they are a keeper of knowledge themselves, or if their father holds that title.

they can’t stand not knowing things. this usually means things they don’t know about themself, which they can’t read about it any book.

they tend to fluster easily.

their father has never been seen, but his voice has been heard, and it is rather deep and commanding.

while they know about many things, they claim to have experienced very few.

JOURNAL ENTRY #XX2   /   JIEUN KANG CLASSIFICATION   /   HUMAN

𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑰𝑵

                    jieun kang is a human who has lived her entire life in novis heights. born to hanwool kang and taemi yoon, two veterinarians who own a practice in novis heights and have done so since jieun was three years of age. she has rarely left novis heights since her birth, leaving to visit extended family only, and attended the local elementary, middle, and high school. she is currently the head librarian of novis’ library, making her a gatekeeper of knowledge.

𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑪𝑬

                    jieun has dark shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. she wears clothes that compliment her, but allow her to fade into the background, blending in with her surroundings. whether this is intentional or not is unknown.

𝑩𝑬𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑰𝑶𝑼𝑹

                    despite being a long-term resident of novis heights, jieun could be considered a sceptic. my theory is that she isn’t a sceptic at all, but quite the opposite — she is so used to the strange happenings around novis heights that it doesn’t bother her anymore. she disregards any strange activity in her presence and acts as normal. this may also due to being constantly surrounded by information on the creatures she is confronted with. that said, she is prone to becoming frustrated towards those who disturb her routine. this doesn’t stop people from requesting information from her.

                    as a keeper of knowledge, jieun is rather responsible. she keeps more dangerous information under lock and key and must be given a good reason to unlock it for anyone. she is an avid reader and researches the books given to her no matter where they arrive from. her extensive knowledge could also contribute to why nothing seems to surprise her. despite this knowledge, she doesn’t appear interested in doing anything with it. perhaps that is why the fates chose her as a keeper of knowledge in the first place.

𝑴𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑨𝑵𝑬𝑶𝑼𝑺 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬𝑺

her parents don’t understand her job and she rarely speaks to them about it.

she has a soft spot for animals, likely due to her parents’ occupations.

she lives in an apartment above the library.

does not seem to trust easily, especially where tourists are concerned.

while these occurrences are few and far between, some readers oft he library’s books have noticed jieun’s handwriting scribbled in a few margins, mostly corrections.

she does not react well to being taken advantage of.

JOURNAL ENTRY #XX1   /   NESTA SARDONYX CLASSIFICATION   /   SPECTRE

𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑰𝑵

                    nesta sardonyx is different from many spectres in that she didn’t die. in fact, she came to life instead. a fictional character residing in one person’s brain ( a half-witch, half-fae, see entry on zarus moon for further reading ), being brought to life on paper, and then being brought to life in all other senses of the word. the steps taken to achieve this is lost to me, and it is merely accepted as fact. nesta sardonyx used to be fake, now she is real.

𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑪𝑬

                     nesta has long dark hair and dark eyes. she is slightly translucent, barely noticeable unless you look, and she floats a little way off the ground. she wears long dresses with no shoes, though it is currently unknown how she is able to change outfits when she can’t touch things outside her person.

𝑩𝑬𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑰𝑶𝑼𝑹

                     nesta has never been seen outside of the moon residence, leading one to assume she cannot leave. this is supported by expressions of disdain and annoyance whenever she is reminded of this fact. she is neither a friendly ghost nor a resentful ghost, and her inability to fall into either of these two categories likely stems from her lack of death. when visiting the moon residence, it is hard to tell whether she will make an appearance, as it has been reported that she only appears when she finds the visitor interesting or she needs something from the manor’s master. she cares little for the customs of polite conversation, but she has proven to not be averse to conversation as a whole. she will answer questions if asked, but generally doesn’t give information about herself without reason.

                     visitors to the manor have stated that she spends her days in her quarters studying a variety of subjects. these subjects tend to be whatever interests her at the time, suggesting she acts on a whim and does whatever she fancies whenever she fancies. it is unknown whether she would be a better house guest if able to properly touch objects and people around her.

𝑴𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑨𝑵𝑬𝑶𝑼𝑺 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬𝑺

the contents of much of her research suggests she is searching for a way to become corporeal.

she does not require sleep.

she has stated she likes to people watch, and some who walk past the manor have reported seeing a pale figure peering out of the curtains.

she can walk through walls and appear out of thin air. she tends to use this to her advantage.

she has some semblance of magical ability, as she is able to levitate objects with a wave of her hand.
